My first one did I it. Sargent swapped it for me. Noticed the second one doing the same. I replaced the Sargent bumpers with some cut down jeep grill bumpers. They’ve been working fine for a year. It is disappointing considering what the seats cost.

First review is in from the launch. Looks like it is what we expected. Smooth, sporty, comfortable. Just think it could be improved with a center stand, heated grips, adjustable windscreen. But who knows. It looks the part. Now if the competition between Honda, Yam, Kaw, and Suz could actually bring the prices down that would be terrific.
I believe heated grips are an option. Absolutely agree about the center stand and adjustable screen.

Good points. I usually hit it on a weekday in the early morning. Early spring or in the fall. Never on a weekend during the summer.

Parallel Twins just don't do it for me...although I am happy happy happy to see bikes like it being offered.

I was there Monday and Wednesday. Live an hour away. Wish we would have met. Maybe next time.

My Schuberth c3 was destroyed in a recent crash. It did it’s job protecting my moneymaker well.
I replaced it with a carbon Nexx vilitar. I’m liking it a lot. Comfy. Much better ventilation than the C3 and excellent visibility. It’s pretty quiet. Seems to be well made. -
I didn't work on my 2015.

I wonder if you'll say that 20 years hence regardless of what bike you're on
Hopefully I will…

I know how you feel. Same thing happened to me on the 8th. I came out of it better than you injury wise. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Wow, 112K! You're an animal!
Any significant issues with your FJ?
With my bod, arthritis in my hands among several other much more significant issues, cruise was an absolute necessity. As was suspension, a saddle, screens, etc.
If and when you become infirm, every little thing that keeps you riding more comfortably and safely becomes very desirable.
That's why I run a headlight modulator, added all sorts of lighting and reflective rim tape, a louder horn, and ATGAT including an air vest.
Rubba side down mate!
You're in G-ds country riding wise!
My only issue was the trim panel that runs under the tank and seat cracked a few months after I got her. My dealer took care of it.
She still runs as good as new and I wouldn’t hesitate to head out on a cross country ride today.- 1

I understand but when you get a few years older, I bet you'll change your tune.
And being in the PNW and TN, unless your in upper elevations, freezing temps aren't the norm for you. I ride all year when it's clear and road salt has been washed away (I used to have a rat bike that didn't mind salt but ran out of room for it).
I notice you didn't mention passing on ABS and CC...
I ride year round and It gets plenty cold here. Coldest I've ridden is 8F.
I'm not anti tech. It’s just that the latest tech doesn't mean that much to me.
My 2015 doesn't have cruise control. I wish it did, but, She's taken me 112K miles without it so it's not that big of a deal.

Oh, I agree with you, this will all become standard equipment, same with radar assist cruise control (or whatever its called), its just not a selling point, in ANY way - for me. If you had 2 identical bikes, one with an IMU and one without, I would not pay extra for the IMU. Give me cruise control and heated grips and I'm good to go.
Same goes for me. I've never had heated grips so that falls into the same category as IMU. I do ride with heated gloves in the winter...

Those hub motors are pretty cool
With all that weight spinning around it has to be hard to turn. Also, what do you do at a stop sign?

The center stand is about the only thing I would miss. The other stuff I don’t care that much about…. Except for cruise control. I really want cruise control.

Thanks! Going from a Yamaha to a BMW I might need it.
Ha. Apologies, I didn’t mean it like that. Just meant I hope you enjoy her and have safe travels. I’m sure that’s a bike that will eat up the miles.

How does the quality and longevity of suzuki compare to Yamaha? I briefly owned a DL 650 and it seemed like a simple but durable motorcycle.

The clutch basket on these bikes in neutral can be noisy. Mine has been for +80k miles.
It’s a rattling noise.
