  1. Yes the bike was on the centre stand. vic
  2. I wasn’t sure my T9 was riding as smoothly as the demo bike I originally test rode. I performed the “Suspension Calibration Test” and each time it just comes back “Failed”. My bike was lowered by the dealer with a Lust Racing lowering kit, but the dealer assured me this wouldn’t make any difference and the electronic suspension would automatically adjust. Any thoughts/advice.??
  3. Thank you for your replies. The tank ring is indeed the same, but the 2022 Tracer 9 has a plastic fairing piece at the front of the tank very close to the filler cap. This blocks the clip on the EVO top ring. The solution I think is to raise the lower tank ring by about 8mm to clear the fairing. Hopefully a diy solution should be possible.
  4. I picked up my new Tracer 9 GT last week and I’d like to fit a tank bag. I already have 2 very nice Evo SWMotech/Yamaha tank bags which I used on my old 900GT. SWMotech don’t seem to make an Evo tank ring for the T9, and I’m reluctant to buy new pro bags given the cost. Any suggestions on how to use my Evo tank bags on the T9?
  5. Has anyone tried The Pyramid Plastic Seat Pod ? If so, what do you think and do you have any pics of the interior? Vic
  6. Hi Sunde i see you have a tank bag ring on the bike. Which type is it? Enjoy the bike. I’m expecting to pick mine up in March Vic
  7. I did the same in 2018. Traded my fazer fzs1000 for a Tracer 900 GT. Loved the Fazer, but loved the Tracer even more. Just put a deposit on the new T9GT which I should pickup in March. Vic
  8. Hi I’ve really enjoyed my 2018 Tracer GT but test rode the T9 last week and decided to trade. I found the new bike higher than the 900, so decided to order it with the LustRacing lowering kit which apparently lowers the bike by up to 30mm. (I’m 5ft6 with 30in inseam) i assume I have to declare this when I insure the bike. Does anyone in the UK know if this might be an issue? Many Thanks, Vic
  9. Hi I’ve just fitted 10w Cree fog lights on my Tracer GT. I’m pleased with the result but does anyone in the. UK know if this can affect my MOT test which is due in a few weeks. I’d hate to have to remove them! Thanks Vic
  10. Finally got around to my lockdown project and installed some Cree 10w fog lights.
  11. I previously had a Schuberth c3 pro size Large which was very comfortable for all day riding. I upgraded to a C4 Large when they came out (the earlier model) with an SC1 advanced comms unit. Unlike the C3 the fit on the C4 seems much tighter and after a while there is a hot spot on the top of my head that becomes quite painful. I have heard that the newer C4 pro has a fit very similar to the C3 and before I spend more money on a new C4 pro does anyone know if the sizing on the newer model is any different from the original C4? With the current COVID restrictions it's hard to actually go and try one on! Thanks Vic
  12. I took the cheek pads out of my SCHUBERTH C4 helmet recently to wash them. (Original version.. not basic or pro). Does anyone know how to refit the so called “anti roll” straps. I can’t see where they fix to the helmet. Frankly I can’t see the point of them, but they must be there for a reason! Any help appreciated. Vic
  13. Hi Must be a brexit thing 😊 In the UK we know the bike as a Tracer, and the MT09 is the naked sportier version. Best to check with Givi if unsure. Vic
  14. I don’t think so All Givi accessories for the Tracer 900/GT 2018/2019 end 2139 For the earlier model they end 2122 . I have the TN2139 crash bars for my Tracer GT. and they fit well and look good. Vic
  15. I’ll be on Euro tunnel on June 15 en route to the Czech Republic 😎
  16. Because here in the Uk people will sometimes “clone” vehicles so they can break traffic laws or worse with impunity. Vic PS I see the numbers are now masked.
  17. You may want to mask those reg plates! vic
  18. Hi Is it possible to add images to a PM? I've uploaded pics to a gallery, but can't seem to find the URL to reference the image in a PM. Vic
  19. Hi My Tracer GT is one year old at the end of this month, and I'm off on a European trip in the June. The bike's been super reliable but I don't like going overseas without breakdown cover. Can anyone suggest a reliable breakdown service for UK and Europe.I've had some poor experiences with the AA but nervous about using the small companies although I hope to never call them! I'll probably go for annual cover. Thanks Vic
  20. No. There wasn’t any before, and it didn’t seem necessary. I checked the bolts after a 150 mile ride, and all seemed ok. vic
  21. @bowlin01 I bought them from motostorm .Was best price including delivery. Vic
  22. I had no issues with the Givi bars on my GT. I think it applied to earlier shipments but seems to be sorted now. Vic
  23. Hi Steve, Hope this helps. I really like them, but hope I don’t get to test them in anger! Looking forward to another ride. Vic
  24. Hi By coincidence I’ve just fitted the same crash bars with no issues. I agree the instructions aren’t great but other posts on this site helped. I did measure each bolt to ensure I was using the right one in each place. The instructions give the size of each bolt and spacer. Looking at your picture, it could be the angle of the photo, but the bolt doesn’t look square to the hole. Could you possibly have cross threaded it? Vic
