  1. I came from a BMW f800GS, so a "beak" is obviously something that catches my eye. I like the look, just seems to finish off the front
  2. I've ordered one that says it's for the 2015 - 2018. Only £19, so not the end of the world if it don't fit. I'll post a pic if it goes on
  3. I power my Garmin GPS through the DC connector behind the screen. Switched live, so ignition goes off, power goes off. Followed the advice and pictures above, and it all went nice and easy. Still have the inline fuse on Garmin lead, so hopefully that would go first if it needed to.
  4. I did that above as a temporary measure when we went to France. I've not remembered to do anything about it since June, and it has been in some heavy downpours since.
  5. Well, I use one of these usb cigarette lighter adaptors and a rather cheap and nasty plastic bag to weatherproof it. It has been out in all kinds of weather and not had any leaks yet. Made a small hole in the bottom to pass the power cable through, then taped it up. What I should've done, ( and may yet ) is use a longer thinner plastic bag so that where the cable goes into it, can be bent over so any water would have to travel uphill to get into it ( if that makes sense ) It's like its own condom!!
  6. Brilliant, thank you. I can't find a 2019/20 one in the UK. I have to say, looking at it, it does look exactly the same as the 2015-2018 ones, both Powerbronze and from China. Is there any difference you know? Thanks toj
  7. And do you have a link for this one too please? Cheers
  8. Hi bud, Which one is that you've fitted on your 2019 ? Do you have a link please? cheers
  9. I use the UltimateAddons one shown here in the pic. Fully waterproof, can use the phone screen through it and it's sealed in rubber inside so fully protected. Bonus of being able to charge it whilst on the bike too. Well worth the money IMHO
  10. The SC Project sound very nice on the Tracer
  11. I took it to France with the stock exhaust on it. We weren't hanging around and it did sound nice at the higher rev range.
  12. Hi Graham, I had read that they were a pig to get off, but it came off/went back on again in less than an hour. My mate across the road was gonna give me a hand, but he started it while I gave my kitchen another coat of emulsion, and when I went over, he'd already done it!! Said he had no problems at all. The exhaust comes with everything you need including gaskets, paste, clamps etc. The sensor on the pipe is best disconnected up at the joining plug, and then unscrewed from the exhaust afterwards. The exhaust is this one: https://www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/mt09-mt-09-tracer-de-cat-exhaust-system-200mm-oval-black-stainless-carbon-tip-silencer-14823-p.asp Obviously sold a few, as I see it's currently out of stock. I paid the Saturday delivery as it was peanuts. Arrived nice and early. Can't fault Black Widow at all, great service, great quality. The bike looks nicer with the new straight down header pipes too.
  13. Really pleased for the price. Well worth the money
  14. Sounds better here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NPvGvhFWCM
  15. I am just uploading another video to YT showing the sound under acceleration. I will post a link when done. That video above does not show how loud it is, it's louder in reality.
  16. Says worldwide shipping https://www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/
  17. Changed the stock exhaust to a Black Widow. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4BT76fkDvU Sounds great under throttle.
  18. The lens was dirty at times on the Drift
  19. I have a similar one to that one above, mine is the SJCAM SJ4000. Works fine, quality is good, goes underwater but battery life is poor and no external mic facility. I also have a Drift Ghost X. Decent price at £129.99 and shoots good quality video at 1080/30 or even 1080/HDR. Lower res available too. Drift has 5hr battery, or 8hrs if you buy the extended one. Doesn't stick out very far either. I don't vlog as such, I just film some things and put them on YT to keep and watch occassionally. Here's a couple of videos to show the quality. The one facing me is the SJ4000:
  20. Mine will be on a ferry on Wednesday night, off to France for a week.
  21. Thank you. I can tell you already, that even only after a very small amount of miles, it is a much smoother bike to ride, and a lot sportier. Biggest thing for me is that the front suspension doesn't dive under braking like the F800GS did. That bike was terrible for it, and didn't give me a lot of confidence in the bends, even though you easily get it leant over to the very edge of the tyres. The front tyre was a 21 inch, 90 x 90. Frightening stuff on the road, but superb off of it. I see some people say about the TFT interfering with the sat nav. I have mine mounted on the handlebars and slightly back towards me. Not noticed any problems with it yet though.
  22. Hi, Just chopped my BMW F800GS for a brand new Tracer 900GT. Have to say, loving it so far. It's off to France with me on Wednesday so we'll get to get a better feel for it on longer journeys. Looking forward to having a read of a few of the threads and picking up some tips. Cheers tojj
