  1. thanks. I drilled holes on the top part of the plate where it connects to the bracket. The originals were not perfectly aligned but the bracket covers them up so no harm no foul. My experience is that anything from China needs some sort of minor modification. For the record i have a 2020, so there may be minor differences.
  2. I love the look of the black metal tail bracket sticking out from underneath the seat but did not like the bulky splash guard. I purchased a fender eliminator from Aliexpress for $29 and was able to use the stock turn signals. I drilled two extra holes into the new kit to reinforce to the original tail bracket. Also came with a very bright LED lic plate light. It achieved the look i wanted.
  3. I just ordered 3.5 inch cree lights from Amazon that weigh about 1.1 lbs each. I will use a similar approach to thejrod's post. So, I will use washers above the holes and a black mending plate beneath the holes to which the lights will be attached. Further i found two small metal brackets directly above the holes (as shown by wordsmith) which i will snake through thin black zip ties to reinforce the mending plate. Below are pics of what it should like. Keep in mind they are just hanging loosely from the hole for now.
  4. 12V USB outlet Installed in 45 minutes. Would have taken 10 minutes if the hole was the proper size. Like 2and3cylinders, I used a dremel to enlarge the hole and wired to my fuse block.
  5. thank you Howton RandyN. Followed in your footsteps. Install took 20 minutes because i'm already familiar with removing the side fairings. Quality is great and best of all is the fit on a 2020 900 GT. It came with an adhesive foam strip which i tried and ended up not using. Im very happy with this purchase.
  6. Thanks RandyN. I just ordered the this one from the same vendor to fit my 2020 900 GT. hope it fits.
  7. thejrod, I just ordered 3.5 inch cree lights that weigh about 1.1 lbs each. Do you get much vibration on your lights. im thinking of reinforcing your approach with some fabricated brackets that bolt to the Yamaha holes where a givi kit would mount....or not based on your response. thanks
  8. Today I installed a 6 Way Blade Fuse Box with Ground Negative Bus bar under my seat. The purpose is to send power to an accessory (i.e., Aux lights, USB socket, etc.,) without going through the bikes existing wiring system. Alternatively, some bikes provide aux power plugs but with certain amp limitations. For me the benefit is going to one identifiable source if a fuse blows in the middle of nowhere. This block also lights up red in each bank where a fuse is blown. This box allows a 100A total rating and a maximum 30A rating for each individual fuse. Project materials and tools: Fuse Box with Ground Negative Bus bar $13 12 AWG Waterproof Relay 5-PIN SPDT $5 12AWG Inline Wire 30A Fuse $5 12 AWG Flexible Stranded Oxygen Free Copper Red/Black Wire 16 AWG Flexible Stranded Oxygen Free Copper Wire Heat Shrink Wire Connectors Heat Shrink Crimping Tool Heat Gun 4 Easy Steps Step 1 – Remove the rear seat and bolt down the Fuse block to the plastic tray. I had to shave down the right plastic circle on the tray for the Fuse Block to lay flat and drill two holes for the bolts. (See Fuse Block Install 1) Step 2 - Print and Study the wiring diagram instructions. (See Fuse Block Install 2) Step 3 – Prep the Relay by using heat shrink wire connectors to connect the following: (See Fuse Block Install 3) 12AWG inline fuse to Pin 30 (Red) 1 foot of 16AWG wire to Pin 85 (Black) 3 feet of 16AWG wire to Pin 86 (White) 1 foot of 12AWG wire to Pin 87 (Blue) Leave Pin 87A (Yellow) disconnected – I put a wire cap on this wire Finally cut 2 feet of 16AWG wire to connect the Battery ground (-) to the fuse block main ground (-) Step 4 - Follow the wiring diagram instructions. For the switched power connection, find and cut the License plate light wire. Join/crimp the 16AWG wire from the Relay (Pin 86) to the (+) part of the License plate light wire (blue color). Rejoin/crimp the (-) part of the License plate light wire (black color). (See Fuse Block Install 4) Step 5 – Test the Fuse Box by turning on the ignition. I used an old turn signal light. (See Fuse Block Install 5) After organizing the materials and tools, this job took me 1 hour.
  9. I love Pazzo. had them on previous bikes but decided to try something else. Ali Express - Tracer 900 GT CNC Short Motorcycle Adjustable Brake Clutch Levers. Had to shave the Brake lever ever so slightly to fit but overall it effectively allow the 2 clicks for Cruise cancel and Brake engagement.
  10. Perfect, I found the Heated Seat connector and have updated my diagram. I will begin install tomorrow. should take about 40 minutes
  11. Today i re-purposed an old strap mount tank bank to serve as a rear pack/passenger back rest. Inside the zipper is a piece of memory foam to offer the passenger a slight bit of comfort and better sense of security against their lower back.
  12. I went with the Yamaha Tracer 900 Rear Rack/Top Case Mount (Item #B1J-F48D0-V0-00) and added a Kappa Top Box K47nn Manta Monolock System (Plate and universal l kit included). Install took about 35 minutes.
  13. You are correct. On their website, it states the following: Born in 1956 as Cappa, the young brand was developed in Italy under the guidance of Paolo Vettore, standing out thanks to its practical and technical products characterised by attention to detail. Italy, excellent as a cradle and starting point, soon became limiting for a brand with the potential and ability to aspire to great heights. And so in 1991, ten years after the registration of the brand, Giuseppe Visenzi, ex-Motorcycling Champion and founder of the Givi brand, acquired the company and the brand, transforming Cappa into Kappa. Following the change in name, Kappa started expanding internationally, creating in 1995 a subsidiary in Montuel, France and in 1999 in Olerdola, Barcelona, Spain. Since then our desire to expand has never ceased, guiding our research and fuelling our passion, determination and appetite to achieve the incredibly high quality standards deserved by every biker around the World.
  14. Thank you Tango. i appreciate the quick response. I have updated the diagram. go
  15. thank you Stew. Its made by Kappa which is a cousin to Givi. I liked that it came with the universal hardware and able to fit 2 helmets.
  16. I am looking to mount a fuse block https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W8MVNSJ/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A1EQP448COWZL4&psc=1 under my seat and connecting accessories to be powered on when bike is on. I have read through many of the well described posts and prefer this method. Can someone kindly review and confirm my my wiring diagram. Should i be missing something, please advise.
  17. This just arrived from Italy (Kappa Top Box K47nn Manta Monolock System)
  18. I have been looking at this bar. If you have time can you kindly post a pic of what it looks like on your bike. thanks
