  1. Has anyone used the Adventure Tech mounting hardware 'bar' on a Tracer? Emailed them and they suggested I ask here on the forum! Yamaha Auxiliary Lighting - AdventureTech, LLC. We have light bars, lights, and wiring harnesses with surface mount... Looks like it would hold the PIAAs.
  2. I was just about to respond... Corbin would be more on the firm side I expect. At least my two different ones for ST1100 and ST1300 bikes was not to be confused with the 'showroom' soft Honda seats.
  3. 39L and I think Givi also offers the same sizes, 39L and 50L.
  4. Thanks for the pics. You have yours where I was trying to mount the PIAAs. Had to find a much longer hex bolt to use through the top mounted PIAA brackets. I can get them to fit, but they are pressed up against part of the plastic on the forks. I could get it tight but would think at some point it would rattle loose and swing up or down. And haven't measured the length of supplied cables to see if they will reach from under the seat all the way down there. I really wish Yamaha would sell their light bar that mounts under the headlights in the US! It was made for PIAAs and has the top mounting opening needed, rather than bars I find here that assume your lights use a ring or clamp.
  5. thanks. I have looked at the Givi mounts but cannot locate an actual picture of the mounts themselves. They always show them with lights. Hard to tell how they even attach. Found this: GENUINE YAMAHA TRACER 900 FOG LIGHT STAY KIT - B5C-H54A5-00 GENUINE YAMAHA TRACER 900 FOG STAY LIGHT KIT. Tailor-made to fit... That PIAA kit looks promising. Do you have a photo of one installed? Appreciate it.
  6. IN the past, I have used PIAA fog and driving lights on other bikes. I ordered the "designed for Yamaha" 1100P version and and now wondering what I was thinking. I cannot locate a way to fit them onto the front forks or locate a fog light mounting bar here in the US. Yamaha makes one and sells them in Europe and I can probably order one from a bike dealer off eBay, but surely there is a way to get these to work. Pix from PIAA and Yamaha show them mounted quite low, on the front forks but the included hardware doesn't work. Maybe I could locate longer hex bolts to actually reach since the ones in the box are short. Anyone ever used these before? 7. I also use the Yamaha touring screen and it is much better than the stock (3" higher, couple inches wider) shorty screen. I will likely switch back when it gets warmer, for the additional airflow.
  8. Personally, I use it (QS) when accelerating onto a highway, from 4-5-6, typically above 45mph. Works great, very smooth in my experience.
  9. Yes, but it the only cool shot of me riding the Dragon!
  10. OK, this is silly. Cannot get the right mirror tight and actually already scratched it all up even using some padding to try and loosen/tighten.
  11. Thanks! Certainly is fun to ride.
  12. Just picked up the bike day before yesterday and have only begun! Added a Ram mount for my Garmin and will be moving plastic around today to try and get the wiring back under the seat. Also gt my XM radio receiver setup and mounted and will be ordering an Eager Beaver PC-8 fuse box for the GPS and soon to be added fog lights. Hopefully I can get it stuffed into that tiny little compartment!
  13. Funny, thought I just had one of the only loose right hand mirrors. Just bought this yesterday and on the way home, the mirror swung around, likely from the 82 mph passing a big 18 wheeler on the way home... Will try some of the advice from here. Swapped out my previous FJR1300 for this nice ride. What a difference in handling and high end torque. Wow.
