  1. Went on a charity ride today, did about 200 miles, one of the first real hot days and naturally I forgot my sunblock 😂😂 The first time I’ve ever ridden with about 150 bikes
  2. Congrats.. looks real nice .. I see you have side mounts and rear top case mount time did the bike come with the cases as well? If not I’m sure that’s on your list of purchases!!
  3. A few months later and an update.. the brake light stopped working for some reason.. I checked the wire assembly and everything else I could think of and finally narrowed it down the the build in contact in the cases it seems the contact actually dropped down to the point it was no longer making contact with the top of the case and the contact list. I suppose the pressure from the top case pushing down on the harness actually moved it out of position. simple solution.. I snipped a zip tie and placed it under the wiring contact ( see pic) and alas I’m back on track.
  4. I’ve been combing through the threads and haven’t found anything on this topic yet, has anybody replace the rear brake pedal with an aftermarket product? I’m thinking I would like something that has a more of a rounded basket as opposed to the little shift peg (or something a bit more pronounced than stock)
  5. Awesome job they look really solid.. eventually I get around to this as well. How difficult was the install?
  6. I may then just try to remove the mess .. presently there is no leak and everything is working fine I just just don’t like the look of any rust on my bike at all
  7. Thanks .. yes it’s extremely snug and most def did it’s job.. I may do the same and drill it out as removing the bottom plate is a pain (not removing but reinstalling is not fun) As for the oil cooler I was contemplating replacing the assembly.. not sure if this can be cleaned up or just need to replace outright.. certainly welcome your thoughts and thanks again
  8. It’s a two piece plate.. there are a few screws on the bottom.. once removed the bottom of the plate comes off exposing the drain plug. Now that this is dented I’m curious to see if I’ll be able to refasten the second plate.. something tells me this is now toasted.
  9. Came down a very small curb and got a nice dent in my SW motor tech skid plate.. it was enough of an impact that the two side bolts broke off from the pressure, I guess it did it’s job though. Clearly that will be the last time I ever go down even the smallest curb. The second photo is kind of blurry but it’s noticeable
  10. 😂😂 it’s two separate pieces
  11. My favorite ice cream store .. Located Long Beach New York.. noting like a late night ride when it’s 80 out!
  12. How do you like this so far? Does it work fairly well? After your post I was reading up on it and curious to know what you think
  13. Monkey Butt powder! I stand behind the product, I used to race ATVs in the desert and talk about friction… without it I was sore! It works.
  14. I don’t see 50-60.. As much as I hate to acknowledge… I fall into this grouping
  15. I’d be happy to order and ship them to you, I would have to think it’s probably $30 USD or so for shipping but perhaps there are other local options. LMK
  16. They fit perfectly with the existing cables and appears to be good quality. Delivery was blazing fast as well. Yamaha FJ-09, MT-09, Tracer 900, Tracer 900 GT Offset Bar Risers 25mm — MotoPumps - The Best 12v Inflators on the Planet Offset Bar Risers for the Yamaha FJ...
  17. Installed my risers from Motopumps.. they fit perfectly look very clean, can’t wait for the rain to stop on Monday so I can get out and tested but sitting on the bike in the garage I can feel considerably less stress as I don’t have to stretch as far
  18. I agree with the above replies, my girlfriend is 125 pounds and I wouldn’t want much more than that. The added weight on the back is very noticeable in terms of handling & performance.., of course not a problem for the engine.
  19. Thanks for the lead on the risers.. I’ve been looking around and just ordered .. they look nice !
  20. Received mine about two months ago, couldn’t be happier especially on long rides.. I suffered with the stock seat.. I ride two up quite a bit and even The passenger is significantly happier with the large pile on that’s incredibly comfortable
  21. Quick ride to Oak Beach NY.. lot of bikes and cars along the shore
  22. I bought mine this past January, 2015 FJ 09 had 3200 miles on it, paid $6400.. The bike was completely stocked no extras
  23. Seriously I hadn’t even contemplated this.. of course now I’m on Apple‘s website getting myself an air tag.. , nothing to lose. Theft aside, at least now I’ll know if my son decides to take my bike for a joyride!
