cozza
Hi all While out on a ride today one of my friends noticed that there was a couple of LED's out in the rear light. The faulty LED's on the far left hand side (on all the time) , sometimes the two LED's are off and sometimes one appears to glow dimly, oddly when the brake is applied they come on. it sounds like a dry joint on the day light running side. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Stay Safe.
Tango
No I haven't noticed that but I will check it out. I almost always ride alone so no one has said anything. Thank's for posting... Blue Lives Matter
Buggy Nate
I have noticed a few Led taillights over the years do this. Unfortunately the cases are usually glued together and are a pain to get apart to repair the joint/led.
cozza
Quick update. I've now had the light replaced under the manufactures warranty, it was touch and go though as the warranty had expired a couple of weeks previously. On closer inspection I noticed that the led;s were flickering, or at least one was, I think it's down to poor solder joints caused by lead free solder. Best to keep an eye on this as a new light will cost £150.00. I'm not sure at what point you would fail an MOT due to defective LED's. Stay safe. Colin.
