Supporting Member Warchild Posted March 26, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted March 26, 2021 This thread is in the same vein at the Hardware Re-Use thread I made a week ago. I have never taken to the Tracer's factory footpegs. I find the long, goofy-looking peg feeler to be a bit ridiculous. Yes, I know the long feelers are easily removed... still no likee: So I yanked off both tonight a replaced them with 16-year-old Superbike pegs that I had on my old YZF-R1. These are from England, and I can not recall what outfit sold them - but they are pretty killer: Closeup: Right side: Closeup... much cleaner-looking, I really like these pegs. 👍 👍 👍
thewrenchbender
The curb feelers and all the stickers came off of mine the day after I brought it home. Coming from the gooey FJR pegs, I was surprised how much I liked the “solid” ones...the knob on the end does an awesome job of giving me feedback on the balls of my feet.
jetpilot5
Those look like Oberon Performance pegs. I had a set of their touring pegs on my CBR1100XX. Nice stuff. Come to think of it, I think I remember reading about you buying the R1 on the XX Forum back in the day. A dark red one. Supporting Member Warchild Posted March 26, 2021 Author Supporting Member Share Posted March 26, 2021 Oberon is *exactly* correct - that's where I got these. Yep, the red one.... no wonder I couldn't resist.

Not my scene, but I am a big fan of "A Clockwork Orange" in which they must have worn something similar. But no, they are cool pegs. Don't let my imagery change your thinking. Don't let my imagery change your thinking. They are very cool pegs, I tried them out on the Tracer for the first time today when I took wifey on a 300-mile round trip blast to Palouse Falls State Park - pegs are defiantly up to task! 👍 And now that jetpilot5 reminded me these are from Oberon, I recall now I used their "Touring" edition pegs on my Hayabusa for the past 12 years - they also kick ass!
