Supporting Member Heli ATP Posted April 4, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted April 4, 2021 Garage incident requires that I replace the glass in my left rear view mirror. I see lots of replacement mirrors for cars online, but not the FJ-09. Suggestions appreciated.
Supporting Member knyte Posted April 4, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted April 4, 2021 Same mirror, but I think it was the extreme cold over winter. Pulled the cover off this spring, and it was cracked horizontally almost perfectly centred. I looked around a bit, but could only find a matching mirror from a dealership. So I'm $60 lighter and who knows when it'll arrive. Oh well. 2015 FJ-09 / FJR touring bags / oil plug mod / Evotech rad guard / SW Motech bash plate / VStream touring windshield / Seat Concepts: Sport Touring / Vcyclenut ABS rings (speedo correction) / Cosmo RAM mount

With my previous bike it was easier and cheaper to buy a aftermarket pair rather than the stock part, they looked almost identical.
Supporting Member Heli ATP Posted April 4, 2021 Author Supporting Member Share Posted April 4, 2021 I may try and make a template and go to a glass place. Otherwise I may look at an aftermarket pair?

I don’t think it has anything to do with what the dealer would “rather sell you”, it’s a matter of how the part is sold. They don’t have individual glass pieces, the mirror is sold as a complete unit. 2 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
