Interesting stuff. I like the fact that it uses tree resins and bees wax instead of lanolin or animal fats that leave leather greasy and just migrate back to the surface where their of no use.

I've been using Lexol for many years to condition my (and my kid's) baseball gloves, track leathers, etc. because it doesn't 'load up' the leather making it feel heavy or greasy, plus it doesn't migrate. Wonder if this stuff accomplishs the same, will have to try it out.

Loggers and forest fire fighters use this stuff and swear by it.

  2. Good motorcycle boots and jackets should last a very very long time, as leathers that are hundreds of years old are in museums all over the world. But left untreated, leather dries, cracksa and fades.

I have been using Obenauf LP leather conditioner for years on my workboots and motorcycle leathers and boots. It has no petroleum or parrfin in it, it's beeswax and other natural ingredients and it's even better than mink oil for leather.

Rub them into old boots and then add a 2nd treatment, and they will start to look and feel new again.  Rub it into new motorcycle boots and again ever six months, and those boots should last you forever.

Im about to treat my Sidi Canyons and will post before and after pics. Its been years since I treated them, slap me.

You cant beat this stuff, used by leather tanners and craftsmen all over the world. Also good for leather seats.

    It also waterproofs your leathers.

How come when i'm logged in it wont let me start a new topic under parts for sale. It won't let me open it? It's like the whole classified section is highlighted and i can open it.  I'm trying to sell something. Help.

Its because you do not yet have 25 posts. This is due to two reasons.

    1. Its a good anti spam measure.

    2. To protect the members from scams.

Not by any means accusing you of being a spammer or scammer, it's just a good general practice for those who run forums and want to keep a good forum alive and happy.

Feel free to keep posting, we have boards and topics for damn near any subject that you can think of.

Also, be sure to put your pin on our member map, and go into your profile and enter location and bike model.

  6. This one from Graves is my favorite. Had it on my FZ-09, and it is a full 13 lbs lighter than stock, which is like gaining an extra 5 hp or more.  Plus, add in a @2wheeldynoworks tune that they have for this exaust and you gain a ton of HP.

  7. Ok, users can now enter location in their Profile, and that location will show under their profile pics when they post on the forum. ( see my location under my profiule pic)

Just click your username, click profile, and "edit profile".  Enter your location in the "Location" field. Click "Save" .

Also, if you guys had "location" filled out on the old forum in your profile, it should now show under your profile pics as well!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE NEW MEMBERS TO STILL PLACE PINS ON THE MEMBER MAP, SO OTHERS IN THEIR AREA CAN FIND THEM AND PM THEM.

  8. Ok, due to high demand, we have listened to you and brought back the "all activity" button at the top left of the forum.

If you are on your phpne, just click the three little lines at the top right of your screen, then click on "all activity".

This shows all posts, status updates, member map pins and activity, in order.   Great way to check out what's going on the past few days.

  9. Looking at adding LED lights for more lighting and visibility on of off the road? The Denali TriOptic light kits can't be beat fort their durability and options and Twisted Throttle has your back for step by step tech/install support after the kits arrive at your door.

The DENALI D2 2.0 LED TriOptic™ LED light kit with DataDim technology produces a remarkable amount of light in a very compact package that is perfect for all styles of riding and types of motorcycles. With a powerful 10-watt Cree LED, the DENALI D2 casts a powerful beam 525ft down the road.

The D2 2.0 kit uses a just-developed HotSwap™ modular wiring harness that, by default, causes these single intensity lights to function at full brightness. But if you would like them to operate at both half and full power, simply add the dual intensity DataDim™ controller. No other changes are required except to replace the original relay with the DataDim™ module and connect one wire to the high-beam circuit. (You can also purchase a three-position switch to manually control light intensity independent of the bike’s high beam.)

  10. I tried many different pieces of so called waterproof gear until I heard of Klim. Now, I own about $2500 in Klim gear, some of it is 4 years old and it is still waterproof.  I run the Klim Apex more than any other jacket. I have ridden around in 7 hours of downpour in the PNW and stayed completely dry.   Olympia got me wet, Frog Toggs rip and tear too easily and get me wet. Klim keeps you dry, and is among the most protective gear that money can buy.

They are also well known and bought by the snowmobile segment.  Warmth, dryness and long lasting protection is not cheap.

Been searching for a bang for buck led blinker plus dry set up. Either it’s the awesome but Expensive Yamaha OEM indicators at around 150 or it’s the cheap eBay no good stuff selling for 10 to 20 bucks.  Has anybody found any good all Choice right in the middle, like bright enough , quality enough but not super expensive. Saw couple but they don’t seem to have drl function.

So, by daytime running lights, you mean that you want blinkers that are always lit up, but get brighter when they are blinking?  I changed the title of this thread so as not to confuse people that come here looking for regular LED blinkers.
