  1. Just got my tracking # for my Higdonion Cage and the upper crash bars ?...even got all the tools and what not needed to install the cage as soon as it hit my doorstep..
  2. @David watch the sensor uint rock on its rubber pad thats on the heel guard, sometimes it stays, some times it rocks back just a tad or not enough... I believe the culprit is that rubber pad between the back of the heel guard and sensor... I have plans to remove it this weekend since my other bike is outta storage...
  3. Yea...I just took the spring off of the sensor a few das ago... my problem is the whole sensor unit is mounted on a rubber pad that should should not be there causing the sensor to rock when the spring tries to pull the sensor to activate the brake light, it will work in my drI've way but as soon as I take a trip around the block with it they stay on 24/7 or works when running over a pothole or never goes off, got tired of messing with it every ride... it's a problem I will tackle during my next vacation week the first week of June, that rubber pad is gonna cease to exist soon ?
  4. I thought you were in SW PA? Come on down to Summit some time. Grattan is ok, but you really must try Mid-Ohio.Nope...I live bout a quick 25min drive west of Grattan... I will look into Mid-Ohio... Im lucky, 30mins in any direction north I have tons of ORV trails, 30mins west I got sand dunes of Lake Michigan, 30 mins south I got MX tracks and US 131 Dragstrip, 30mins east I got Grattan...
  5. Parked the FJ-09 in the FZ-07 spot in the garage for a few weeks...need to start riding the ole girl again as I have a track day date with the ole girl June 2nd... I love both of my road bikes as they both fill 95% of my road bike needs... This is no ordinary FZ-07 as its got the Hordpower airbox in place of the ultra restricted OEM airbox for more mid-upper rpm performance with no power loss down low...Just like the FJ-09 airbox it's been engineered pretty good that using an aftermarket airfilter shows very little improvement in engine performance over OEM airfilter... For those of you living around West Michigan, here is the link to the track days...http://foxpowerblog.com/shop/...I am attending the June 2nd novice class at Grattan... It will be my first time on a road course, spent the last 10-12yrs spinning laps/bumping bar ends on a dirt bike or hitting the drag strip...
  6. Found an old dirt bike rear shock cover I got 4-5yrs ago I won at some event, wondered if it would fit the FJ-09 OEM rear shock, sure enough it did...it not tight but it can easily spin around but stays in place so far after riding tonight...
  7. Sent a few measurements and pictures off to Higdonion to double check to see if the "trail cage" will work with Graves Exhaust...Also got 1 of 3 forum shirts I ordered in the mail today...
  8. Burned up a few weekends of OT pay for some Higdonion goodies both upper and lower crash bars.. Michigan roads are now in the "after winter pothole season phase" and the crumbs the potholes leave behind, they look hungry for some oil pans and my lovely Graves Exhaust Link to goodies... click on Forum tab at the top of the page...scroll down to Vendor section, maybe do a little peeking around at the other vendors..then you click on Higdonion thread...
  9. Stole my FZ-07 flush mount ebay lights...non DRL style...and installed my Tire pressure monitoring system...
  10. Interesting bit of info on the valve stems... Define at " speed " ?
  11. Waiting for this to come in the mail in about 8hrs...A fellow FZ-07 forum user posted about it last week and sure enough I caved in https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/Motorcycle-Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-System_p_171.html
  12. I just took a wild guess at to what they could be used for, might spark an idea...I dont know what they look like...thanks for the picture...it looks like they are used around the outside edge of the rad guard frame...
  13. If the foam is just thick enough to go between the fins and the back rad guard in the middle to keep the vibration noises down or is it thick enough to go between the radiator tank ends and the rad guard ends...its a common practice at my work
  14. I didnt realize you are located across the pond... Here is an example of what Black RTV is in the US... https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-82180-Maximum-Resistance-Silicone/dp/B0002UEN1U
  15. Had to disconnect my QuickShifter... Found a little slice in the wiring, somehow, some way I nicked it ?, it only went wonky after a good rain if my bike was outside, happened 2 times this week, 1st time I couldn't duplicate it because it was nice and sunny for 3 days... Email sent to Woolich for new sensor... Sighs the Great FJ-09 in the Great Enternal Twisty Sky Road thought to see fit to say your playing a little to hard...
  16. I would use some black RTV to seal it up...
  17. Did oil change, pulled the Neighborhood Association friendly DBkiller out ? and love my new AGV K5 helmet now...much better than my 15yr old helmet ?... The K5 helmet performed better with stock windshield over the barn door Givi windshield... Now its time to go say hello to the neighborhood BBBBBBBRRRRRRAAAAAAA6APPPPPPP goes the Graves Exhaust ? Edit: finally installed my Healtech shift light https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/slp/ Will report back after work tonight if I set it up properly...
  18. Seems to be a trend going on, taking the barn door off and putting short windshield back on...the weather must be getting nicer all over ?... So far I noticed the Givi windshield blocked alot of wind, I mean given my hearing impairment I could hear the engine "whine" noises and hear the Graves exhaust clear as day with a baffle in, now the wind mask alot of the "whine" and the lovely Graves exhaust ?... Hmmmm choices, now the exhaust sounds not much lounder than stock with baffle in unless I wind the little motor up... Time to test the new helmet out...
  19. Ordered some actual motorcycle gloves... https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/agv-sport-telluride-touring-gloves and put the stock windshield back on...time for the barn door Givi windshield to go into hibernation and stop limiting my speeds to 100 at my secret test locations...
  20. Have you looked into the MCCruise? It is a very high quality product and a super clean install. The wiring harness that they build could pass for factory equipment, especially when it is plugged in with the factory Tenere switch gear. I was extremely impressed with their craftsmanship. Yes they have been at the top of my list since day one...
  21. Im only interested in this thread to follow the CC feature... I already have Launch Control, quick shift up/down and the " closed loop " disabled and whatever else 2WDW did... So im not missing much by getting lean angle wheelie control or whatever that is... The only positive feature to me is the simplicity of putting CC on the FJ-09 with no wiring mess...the major problem is no available library of diffrent tunes onhand it looks like, so I suspect they are gonna be a unrestricted generic fuel/ignition maps... So it even looks like you would need actual dyno tuning after installing the Tune boy which opens up another problem, who else can tune Tune Boys software besides ordering a PowerCommander5 and having the local dyno tuner tune it... I would buy this if the CC does not overwrite the 2wdw/Woolich tune I already have otherwise it's a complete waste... This is not a well thought out idea
  22. It's located behind the front sprocket cover...on my FZ-07 it was overstuffed with grease...I just wiped it off with a clean rag and did a quick wipe of the sensor hole but still left a little bit to put a smear of grease on sensor face before I reinstalled it...
  23. The gear position sensor is probably dirty, just needs to be wiped off, had the same problem on my FZ-07...
  24. Very interesting. I am curious to hear your results after a few tanks. If that is indeed the case, I may use B mode on some of the more long stretches while on road trips, and switch to STD or A for the fun sections. I would also like to point out I also have no closed loop fueling due to my choice of tuning software I had 2wdw use, so far I have noticed why I think B mode is currently getting better MPG...in B mode I feel like im doing less throttle corrections to maintain a steady speed due to the relaxed nature of B mode, if that makes sense?...Even A mode is butter smooth and very on point with any amount of throttle input like a race bike...
  25. Yes B mode is boring... but my curiosity wanted to experiment beyond default settings Currently in A mode with my Woolich Race Kit and Graves Exhaust I'm getting 42mpg avg between 3 tanks of gas doing normal every day riding stuff Currently in B mode well the fuel avg meter on the dash keeps going up...so far it's showing 50.3mpg... B mode is gonna be strictly 2up and long trips to maximize range...have yet to run a few tanks in B mode...
