  1. Welcome! Also a NOVA rider here (Sterling). Love my 2015, amazing value and with proper upgrades can be as good as the latest models.
  2. I hit a pothole on the test drive and the thing nearly crushed my lower back, has no meaningful suspension.
  3. Glad folks are trying this out, the link below is the fusion 360 file if anyone wants to remix the design, I printed mine with PLA and still working fine since March. hornstopv5.f3d - Google Drive
  4. Installed Galfer rotors I got from @mattemike last year as well as new EBC HH Pads. Really easy removing the rotors once you heat the bolt well. Also (paid local BMW dealer to) put a Q3+ on the front while I'm at it. If anyone wants the OEM rotors (9K miles) let me know (just pay shipping from 20165)
  5. This just came out from project farm, I ordered the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating, we'll see. https://youtu.be/uYxKQwZah1s
  6. Slipper clutch installed, so nice to downshift now!! quiet and more easy pull. I have a magura on the clutch lever and had a tough time adjusting engagement point, I think the best way to do that is by removing the push lever and rotating one tooth at a time. Even with that I was still either slipping on high revs or not able to fully disengage. Added a 1mm spacer on the clutch cable holder, we'll see if that's enough to get a full disengagement. I might go back to a regular cable as I'm pretty sure the magura is leaking from the shaft, it's a great system when it works but honestly cannot recommend it wholeheartedly.
  7. I was inspired by your posts on this, thank you! EBC HH pads and galfer rotors are waiting to be installed, will do them when I replace the front tire. Slipper clutch kit is in the mail too. Eventually might turn it into a part time track bike, we'll see.
  8. Installed Spiegler braided brake lines (~200$) and the 2014 R1 Brembo master cylinder (~150$). Time consuming and not a very exciting job, hardest part was to screw the back hoses bracket back in, considered leaving these lines loose, or maybe just zip tied, but at the end, with help, managed to get it. Kept a zip tie on both levers overnight, next morning triggered the ABS pump on the grass and bled once more. The brake feels much more responsive and defined, overall glad I did it.
  9. Do you think this was related to replacing the brake lines? or to them being different than OEM? (Considering replacing to braided lines as well, so this got me worries)
  10. I love my 2015 but really lusting after a nice modern electronics package. Is there a possibility of somehow getting the 2019 electronics package (Dash, ECU, TC) fitted onto a 2015? Are there fundamental changes that simply cannot be retrofitted, or it's just a matter of adding a few sensors, wiring and replacing the components?
  11. I'm 6.4. In the winter I use the Parabellum 26 with the puig spoiler and it blocks ~90% of the air on head but the puig is right in the line of sight with is annoying. The 26 is great including at speeds, but gets interesting in cross winds. Summer I switch to the Parabellum fly screen
  12. 3D designed and printed this cover for the horn button, horn is still usable just less chance of hitting it accidentally. Video 3D model
  13. Did the same mod today . I got the cheaper chinese version (20$) which had no gasket, had to create one myself or suffer the opposite of a vacuum problem really looking forward to not fiddling with the key on refuels.
  14. I think I've heard him say he has an MT-10 in one of his youtube videos. Do you recall what kind of measurements he used to tune the tracer900? e.g. rear/front sag
  15. After a few solid weeks of usage I really like this product. it does allow for airflow and removes vibration. Nice!
  16. I expect a little bit of both, will report back after I used it for a while.
  17. Added a mesh seat cover. Got the idea from here: bought it here for $6
  18. I've been using a similar unit for over 6 months now. Works very well, accurate (confirmed with a reliable meter) and I had no issues with it getting loose or leaking air. I have it both on a straight and 90 degree stem. The only annoyance is that the alarm cannot be silenced or be set to a lower value than 32psi IIRC
  19. Installed a break light strobe flasher GS-100A. Used 3 wire tyco connectors, so I can easily revert back to stock. https://imgur.com/zuqY9CA
  20. I also did not experience this problem. A firm press on the foot pedal of the center stand is enough to lift the bike. Never needed to raise it with hands
  21. I'm not buying chain lube ever again after seeing this.
  22. Been using this one for about 6 months now, works fine. There is a locking nut which prevents the sensor from coming loose. My front is straight stem, rear is 90 degree bent stem no issues with both.
  23. Installed these cheapo (25$ on amzn) removable grip heaters. They draw 0.8A and get relatively toasty. I plug them into the cigarette lighter socket. Have not found a good way to deal with the excess laces yet.
