  1. Yeah, the tracer engine on the tiger would be cool.. but then, it would be the yamaha tiger . lol
  2. Daft location of ignition barrel flip the top part of your handlebar clamps, makes it easier to get a hand in that area. I test rode the Tiger 800 XRt in between 2 tracer 900 test rides... my impressions of the Tracer was 'wow'.. the Tiger was 'Bleh'... I've been looking at the new Tiger 900 GT reviews and it sounds like they added some more character and grunt to it but gonna be hard to over come the Bleh factor... and since 100% of the time you're on the bike, you're ON the bike... that 'wow' factor is pretty important, to me anyway. Looks like the tiger gets a bit better range... probably by replacing 'wow' with 'bleh'... I love how the Tiger looks and has a nice big dash but have seen reviews where folks can't find a dash theme that is all that great and sounds like the dash 'wow' factor quickly turns into 'Bleh'.. However, if the Tiger does it for you then that's all that matters... it's actually none of anyone's business what YOU want in a bike and what makes you smile...
  3. Yeah, I'm powering my gps and radar detector on one so shouldn't be an issue.
  4. I did get the bags on, forgot to post those pics.. gonna love top-loading bags again... wooohooo!
  5. I thought I'd see if my tool tube that's been sitting around for years would fit..I think it will work.
  6. Cut it in half and it will work if you want the front on high or low.
  7. I never remove the side cases or top boxes myself but I did go with the PLR racks which come off completely in about the time it takes to take the bags off.
  8. I got the Dolomiti cases in yesterday, still waiting on the mounting rack. The GT oem cases are 11 lbs, the Dolomitis are 10.8lbs. The mounting rack is probably around 7 lbs but you have to remove the oem case mounts on the pass footpeg area. I'd say it's a wash. But, love top loading bags for their functionality, I don't plan on carrying a lot of heavy stuff but I like that I can just place it in the bag and it won't just fall out when I open them. The lid net is also a nice option if you go for it. I went with the painted black because I had some bare aluminium Traxx boxes on a previous bike and any water would stain them and require extra buffing to get them to look good again.
  9. The super ten in the US has them as running/signal lights so probably will get those.
  10. In this video you can see the cornering lights come on a couple times.
  11. I changed my mind on the 2 RI pods... looks too 'tracer 9T Dash' like to me ... ha!!!! So, went with this... not as many lumens as the 2 pods but still quite useful and since the bar connects the 2 mounting points I feel it's a more solid install.
  12. I prefer to call situations like this 'opportunities for evolution' ... at this point, I should be solid energy but that hasn't happened yet so I think I still have a few 'opportunities' left in me. For the corbin seat, I cut the rear half of the plastic oem adjuster off and put the front part in the high position.. that way I can place the front of the seat high and the rear part low which cuts down some of the slope. That gets real tricky since the adjuster moves around some when putting the seat back on but once it's just right, it's a nice seating position. I don't take the seat off that often so I don't mind.
  13. It doesn't, that's just an optical illusion due to the angle... go look at the head-on pics... the shield covers it.
  14. Installed the Givi LS2139 Light Brackets and mounted my Rigid Industry Dually D2 lights using these amazon bar mounts.
  15. The more I look at it the more I actually like it. I'm happy w/2019 so not loosing money on the switch but if I didn't have a tracer already.... I'd probably jump on this or definitely score a lower priced 2020..
  16. Added coax jack for both heated gear as well as hooking up to battery tender: Warm & Safe DC Coax Jack Panel Mount with 6in Coax Plug Cable - The Warming Store ...
  17. I think I'm going to get a black set of the Dolomiti cases for my 900 GT. I really hate side loading cases after having several bikes where I've put top loading cases.. just so much nicer to pack. Plus, these are larger and they don't, in my opinion, overpower the rest of the bike and look out of place. I'm curious how much they weigh because the oem GT cases are heavy empty.

    I want one

Glad to hear it... lol It's not that loud at start up and idle.. it's when you stay in one gear and accelerate that it shines.
  19. Some cheapos from Amazon. Sorry! Something went wrong!
  20. Yes, you need another socket/wrench on the other side where the nut is.
  21. Thanks, I don't run brights during the day but did add some led running/signals to handguards and rad guard.
  22. Are these signal only? The oem fronts are running and signals...
