  1. My replacement arrived about an hour ago and while I haven’t taken it for a ride yet, when I took it out of the box, it has a noticeable difference in the slope from the first one. First picture is the original.
  2. I disagree. Let Darwin take those he needs.
  3. I have never had a bike that has this inside it. I did have a Tuono that simply had a hole just big enough to fit the nozzle in, but other than that, *all* of the motorcycles I’ve owned simply has a wide opening once you open the cap. As far as knowing not to overfill, just leave a gap and don’t fill it all the way up the neck to the top. Simple really. And for those that stupidly fill their tank with diesel, well here’s your sign. You deserve it. Diesel nozzles are different colors, for one.
  4. Not really sure what this has to do with my question, but ok.
  5. I don’t know what the proper name for it is but I’m referring to the inner part once you open the gas cap. Has anyone removed it? I find it highly annoying at fill ups.
  6. Haha yeah. I’m in Atlanta metro and 6 hours away from them.
  7. I spoke too soon. Mine says it shipped out today also with an arrival of tomorrow. I’m surprised they are shipping it next day for a Saturday delivery. I would be fine with it just showing up next week sometime.
  8. I guess they’re waiting to ship mine last. I haven’t received an email on mine yet. 😪
  9. I like mine a lot, I just don’t love it. I would have been fine with them just modifying mine but they wanted to ship out a new set. They must have made more changes than just adding to the front of the front seat to get rid of that slope.
  10. I reached out to Sargent today and received an email back saying I am going to be shipped a new seat set (I bought front and rear). He said I should receive an email with shipping/tracking information in a couple days.
  11. There are at least two threads about Sargent releasing their Tracer seat, one began by me. I really line mine, don’t love it yet as it needs a little modification that Sargent is most likely going to do going forward. But it’s a damn sight better than the OEM.
  12. I’m in Locust Grove. If it wasn’t going to be in the 30’s in the morning this weekend, I’d head to the mountains Saturday or Sunday. I’d like to hook up as well. Seems for the first time on a forum, there’s actually some people near me on the southside!
  13. I too went from a Sprint ST (2007 ABS) to the Tracer GT. I loved it but was ready for something new. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it so far in the first 6000 miles. Enjoy!
  14. Added a sidestand plate, a Chinese Ebay special. Paid $11 for it and it works, albeit I’ll have to shave about 1/8” off the back side since when the centerstand is retracted it touches and runs slightly.
  15. This obviously isn’t set in stone but here’s his reply.
  16. I sent an email this morning to the person I’ve spoken to since the beginning of all of this. I’m waiting to hear back from him.
  17. Jesus guys. They say they’re going to fix the ones they’ve sold so far and are halting sales temporarily and that’s “piss weak” and a “vague admission”? Call me a fanboy of you like, but they could have said to go pound sand and fixed it quietly. Sure, the slope needs fixing on mine, but I’m patient if someone owns up to it.
  18. I’ve really enjoyed them but decided to try the PR5’s everyone raves about.
  19. I’m going to reach out them Wednesday or Thursday to see what, if anything, has been talked about down there.
  20. I hadn’t run a pair of Bridgestones in years before these but I was impressed. I’m no Ricky Racer but I do ok. These stick.
  21. I only said short because I usually buy dual compound sport touring tires. The rear S21 lasted me 5000 miles, which I guess is good. I’m usually very good at making tires last longer than most for whatever reason. I just bought a set of PR5’s since Michelin has a rebate going on right now. I was goi g to buy another S21 (or the new S22) rear because the front is still in pretty good shape. As far as my feelings on the S21, I loved them. They came recommended by a friend who is an aggressive rider like me and said he had a set on his FJ. They stick very well and heat up quickly for a street riding. I’ll find a picture I took of the front and rear after just three passes on Blood Mountain in N GA back in July.
  22. I have one of the first Sargents and I’d give it a 9/10 for everyday riding and a 5/10 for twisties. I took a 600 mile ride last Saturday and Sunday to the mountains. The ride up there and back was wonderful. I never felt the need to shift around while slabbing up and back. Once in the curvy roads is a different story though. Each time I’d slow to set up for a turn, I’d slide right up every time. Granted a part of that is the material they use vs the OEM material is “slicker” with my Roadcrafter. It wasn’t horrible once I got used to it but annoying nonetheless. I’ve reached out to Sargent and my contact there said they had heard similar from others already and to give him a week and he might have a solution. I’m in agreement with another that if they add 1/2” to the front, it will be much better, creating a pocket of sorts. Here’s a picture of mine.
  23. I've done my morning research and like usual, RMATV had the best price. I've bought quite a few sets from them. I almost accidentally bought two sets with my internet being wonky this morning. @texscottyd I've run many sets of PR2's in the past and loved them. Then the Angel GT's came out and I loved those on my Triumphs since Pirelli came out with them. I've heard quite a bit of good about the PR5's on the Tracer so I think they'll be good for my aggressive riding style.
