  1. I fitted these to my 2017 Tracer 900, a tiny bit of of jiggling with the master cylinder and it fits fine, i didn't need bar ends
  2. I used a power socket for a KTM and fitted it into the spare mount on the right hand side
  3. Upgrade both rear shock and fork internals if you can afford, if so then get someone who really knows how to setup your suspension properly to get the full benefits. My 2017 Tracer 900 now is fully fitted with Ohlins and the difference is a lot, especially the for cartridges and springs
  4. Take off the original handguards if still fitted
  5. Traction control A1, 12,000 revs, happy days on those fast twisty country roads
  6. Riding in France, keep your speed limits down if riding though towns and villages, if you have a sat nav with speed camera whereabouts it will only warn if cameras are within the area (keep your eyes peeled for either gantry or centre island standing about 4ft high) Gendarmerie usually give a wave so don't go mad or expect the big fine, instant cash or card payment on the spot.....good roads though and 2 finger salute to other bikers, friendly gesture leg out when a car gives way for you when over taking, always enjoy the food and beer. most locals are friendly especially if trying to make an effort speaking french..Enjoy the trip where ever you go
  7. If its the same as my 2017 Tracer then the torque settings are 4x M8 bolts 22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m 16 lb.ft)
  8. you are correct but Uk number plates indicate every 6 months, not yearly any more
  9. Has anyone here fitted the Ohlins NIX30 fork internals on a 2017 Tracer that as cured the 'KNOCK' when the forks compress ?, i know it as been mentioned sometimes on this forum
  10. Two Point Mount - Barkbusters Moto These are what i fitted along with their bar end weights
  11. I have just fitted the Bark Busters hand guards in which you have to completely remove the Yamaha originals, they may be more expensive than Givi or Puig but found they were better https://barkbusters.net/home/
  12. The reason for asking about using different forks is recently I had a low speed crash into the back of a vehicle, a motorcycle technician couldn't believe how easily the stantions bent, he pointed out how thin the walls are on them. I compared them to a KTM 990 SMT which is a similar style bike which as WP forks and are more robust, I suppose it just comes down to how cheap the FJ09 build package is.
  13. Has anyone swapped the Tracer forks for a different brand ?, I don't mean the internals but the entire fork legs
  14. Has anyone changed the forks for anything different, not internals but the complete forks

  15. I've added a picture from Palmer products screen mount
  16. Are the screen mounts wrong ? shouldn't the adjusters be on the outside ?. I have a Palmer product screen and mount similar
  17. This is under "Support - knowledge base - Model specific install guides" on Scott oiler website
  18. Scott oiler website do a specific installation for the Tracer 900 for all 3 Oilers MT-09 (FJ-09) Tracer MT-09 (FJ-09) Tracer Hope this helps you
  19. I use Rock oil fully synthetic 10W-40, use the best possible
  20. I ditched the original fork oil for a good grade 10 to help stiffen the front end a bit
