I can’t order the Akra in wonderful kalifornia where I live, or any other system online. Strange thing is I was able to order a Yosh system for my R7 direct from Yosh LA, delivered to my door🤨.

Sticking with the stock exhaust, or a different system?

I’d get a 60th Anniversary R7 and do track days only, give up the crazy streets. I just really like the looks of the white/red gold wheels! I already passed on the first one at my dealer, then another new one, then a perfect used one with 500 miles. That’s what I’d do to the dismay of my wife, she’d rather I didn’t ride at all - such a fun buster😒!

Oh that really bites, could be a coincidence-hopefully-but they’ll fix it that’s the good part. It’s just too bad for the delay. I need to make an appointment for my latest recalls, pray they go smoothly. Think I’ll remove the bodywork to expose the O2 sensor connector for the Tech, as a former tech I wish they would just let me do it. Gotta use them for the reflash tho…

More, sorry out of order😒

I bought the factory service manual for guidance and can tell you it’s a PIA, just like anytime you do something the first time. Lots of push rivets holding parts on, keep track of them. And the thinner side panels at back of the tank have to slide off slots, not pull off straight, you’ll see. The ECU is under the tank as mentioned, good luck!

Did they have to replace the sensor & wiring or just inspect & install the protective cover?

Got my two recall letters also, this makes 4 recalls…I had mentioned to the service manager at my dealer about losing engine braking in lower gears after the first reflash and I got the “never heard of that” answer. Well here it is now how about that? And I know, can’t fix anything until the letter(s) come out lol.

My left front turn signal has popped out a few times just brushing by it in my crowded garage. Popped it back in but not completely and fell out easily. There must be some easy special order of assembly that escapes me. I finally took the time to try several ways, the best was to fully lubricate it with silicone spray and carefully, deliberately worm it in correctly. They are good in that they pop loose easily & not break, just a pain to re-fit correctly, and they evidently don’t hold up to bird strikes lol!

2021 Tracer GT, stock engine & exhaust, had the factory recall re-flash done. In 1st gear it will power lift at will 😁.

Since you all got me curious I thought I’d set my Manual TCS Setting to TCS 1, SCS to 2, and LIF to OFF. Let the power wheelies begin😆!

I believe it’s separate from traction control but lemme check the manual when I get home. It’s been awhile since I messed with settings. Or you can check your manual🧐🙂?

That happened to me, I saw that the spring had come off so I hooked it back on and adjusted it too tight, just tight enough to cause an intermittent problem!

Have you set the Lift (wheelie) Control setting to lowest? When I did that to mine it startled me the first time I whacked it in 1st gear😮😆!

Like several others, I had an FJR1300 for 8 years then went to the ‘21 Tracer 9GT. With my 30” inseam it’s rather tall and hard to mount/dismount so I do the cowboy thing. Great bike although now I don’t tour as I used to so kinda second thoughts.

My wife & I were there a few years ago and were also impressed. Although Kenny & Wayne’s Yamahas were missing, that would have been really special!

Heard nothing about these in Kalifornia after having my ‘21 reflashed & new throttle tube last year. Gawd I really dislike speedmonkey techs working on my bikes (I’m an ex-motorbike wrench & know what goes on, plus recent mistakes found). Oh well gotta do it if it comes here.

I have about 200 miles on the comfort seat that I had to order from England since not available in the USA. It along with the seat slope mod definitely helped. I do recommend both!

Welcome Jack! Which model & year did you get? If a 2021 Tracer 9 there’s a couple recalls on it.
