  1. Thanks for providing the research and numbers - are the numbers parts and labor? Obviously things will be different in my location but it gives me a starting point. I also see you ruled out K-Tech.
  2. Thanks. I wasn't sure what I could or couldn't do depending on whether that came out. 🙂
  3. You are correct. The guards have been off for some time and will stay off for now. So is it safe to say, that since you have an FJ and the FZ barends fit, I should look for MT-09 barends since I have a GT? And thanks.
  4. Went to get new tires and asked them to help me get bar end weights as my hands buzz for a few minutes after a long ride. They think this doesn't come out, which will make it hard to find barends. I figured I would ask the pros. This is the result of removing handguards, then removing that bolt that held them in place. And just to be crystal clear, I'm talking about the hexagon black piece. Thanks! !
  5. Thanks GG. Looking forward to seeing it. @Clegg78the mod was easy to install and arrived quickly. Thank you for proving a cheap but long term quality fix!!
  6. Anyone purchase and install the mod and put the seat in the high position? I have a pretty huge gap (can put multiple fingers under the seat. Just want to see if I screwed up putting the seat back on.
  7. Just ordered mine today. I'm looking forward to installing this and seeing the difference.
  8. It's a long shot but hoping someone has a extra pair they are willing to share.
  9. Well, it turns out I forgot to put in the metal tube that fits in the clutch handle where the bolt goes. This helped out so I think I'm good. Thanks for the help.
  10. I think I’m good now. I installed these in my garage when it was 92F. Looking at them today, they seem to have less wiggle room so I’m happy. Is it normal to hear the clutch cable make noise when pulling in the clutch? these are beautiful
  11. I got these installed today and they seem to have more movement than the stock levers. I don't know if that's normal but they wiggle quite a bit on both sides. If I tighten the clutch side strongly, the clutch doesn't work properly (with bike off). I can't tighten the brake side anymore. Anyway, just curious if this is normal for those of you who installed these or if it's from something I've done? Since these don't come with instructions, I just removed the screw/bolt on each side and reinstalled making sure the brake side "part" went into the hole on the new lever. I also made sure the clutch side hits the little switch, which i assume is for cruise control. They are of good quality and look great, but they move around too much for me. Any help from the pro's is appreciated. Thanks, James
  12. I just ordered the AVDB levers based on this thread. I'm excited to get them and can't wait to install them.
  13. You are correct sir. Thanks for solving this puzzle for me!! Thank you very much. This is exactly where it went!!!
  14. Thanks! I knew this was a long shot...finding a needle in a needle stack. Appreciate the help.
  15. No, I used a foam king, which I recommend. This was when I was drying it and trying to get the tight spaces. I think it goes on/near the tire hugger.
  16. Are you talking about this tab? The large rubber piece on the bracket? The one I showed is very small....about the size of your thumb nail. I'll still look around where you said, I just wanted to double-check. Thanks!! https://japan.webike.net/products/22995355.html
  17. Thank you! I'll check it out later. I appreciate the help.
  18. I washed my bike (2020 GT) and when I was drying it, a rubber piece fell off and I'm not sure exactly where it came from. I'm hoping these pictures might help to pinpoint where it came off. I believe it came off near the rear shock adjuster or perhaps near the rear tire hugger (closer to the front of the rear tire), kind of where one piece of plastic meets the other (vertical to horizontal). Any help is appreciated. Thanks, James
  19. I did S21's on my little 500 twin and would get about 8,000 miles out of them, which included a trackday. I think I'm going to do the same thing for my Tracer with the S22's as I just know them and don't have to worry about time and effort to buy and test new tires.
  20. Invermere looks like a very, beautiful destination. Have a good trip!!
  21. I'm on the same path as you.....haha.
  22. @pokey074 In case this helps.......if you want this on a different post, let me know. I'm not trying to hijack, just wanted to provide my input. So I recently tested both PUIG's - the sport and touring. I'm 6'2" and have the seat in the low position. The touring model is huge. So huge that it requires two hands to adjust it up and down (too heavy for the bracket). In either position, going over 65, it's unusable for me. It does a good job of moving the wind up and over but the noise is thunderous. It sounds like I'm behind an F16 engine. If I stand up, it's absolutely glorious - quiet and smooth. If I duck down a smidge, it sounds like a rigid plastic sheet flapping in the wind. It's the wind hitting the visor/helmet and not a noise emanating from the screen. So I chose to slow down (I use earplugs, full face AGV K5) and get off the freeway due to the noise. Other than that, it worked great. I'm going to re-test the sport screen at lunch this week and see how it goes. And a nice member will let me try his MRA. I also may look into that bolt-on for the PUIG touring.
