  1. Same here as with @MightBeSasquatch. I have purposely not done the math and solely rely on the dash. I'm about 48 riding A mode, B and STD mode ~50.5mpg.
  2. Same here but it's just freeways and just some of the time now. I ensured my stock dunlops were 36/42 per manual and removed the handguards and the stock screen. Both have helped but there is still a touch here and there. I also had the suspension tuned locally and that helped too. I'm hoping new tires will help as well but wind will be wind and you can't help that.
  3. Don't forget about Yamaha Touring screen too.
  4. Thanks for the insight everyone. I think I will just let it go and enjoy the ride.
  5. 36/42 standard and 32/30 at the track on the S21's on my old bike. There's a great deal at Cyclegear for the S22's ($260/pair + tax), plus a $40 rebate, so I'm thinking of getting them.
  6. I'm still getting pops when rolling off in second (no gear change) or when changing gears (3-2-1). It's been 1500 miles and I was hoping it would have sorted itself out by now. I'm curious if that's something unique to my bike or if anyone else experienced this and it did or did not require a trip to the dealer. I did not change the stock exhaust and I use 91 oct. gas. My thoughts are to change out where I'm buying gas to see if it's a gas vendor issue but any help is appreciated. Thanks, James
  7. I cut my stock screen down and tried it without a screen. Both were an improvement over stock screen.
  8. Hello and welcome. Early congrats on the new bike!!
  9. Hello, New owner here (~840 miles) and I'm 6'2" but I don't know what my inseam is. I can flatfloot this with either foot or both feet with the seat in the low position. I have not tried the high position but it should not be a problem. It's comfortable and I have no issues with how I sit on the bike. I know this wasn't helpful but thought I would chime in anyway. James
  10. Did you do it or did you skip the TBS?
  11. Hi Curt. Welcome to the forum!!! You have good taste (I have the same one and have 700 miles on mine). I'm curious what windshield you bought and if you rode it enough with the original to notice an improvement. James
  12. Thanks. I found out my tires were 6psi under inflated (each). The original dealer maxed them out, the first service dealer put them at the low pressure. This makes sense why things got worse after the ride. I unfortunately got taken out by my second covid vaccine and haven't ridden in days to test things out and get close to 1000 so I can put it in A mode and see what happens. It seems I prefer STD mode a lot better than B right now. I plan to buy some adjustable levers because I still have lots of trouble with first gear - I only need to pull it about an inch and it's engaged.
  13. Thanks. I'm guessing this was a big part of my problems!!!
  14. So the tire pressure is definitely low. I'm 30F/36R. I believe I should be at 36F/42R. What do you run your tires at? I'm 220lbs.
  15. Hey warchild, it's a 2020 with 600 miles, first service was just done.
  16. I get speed wobbles/head shakes on freeways over 60mph. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, was it the stock tires, handguards, something else? Is there a way to adjust the levers so that they are closer to the grips or do I need to spend money on new levers? My clutch lever rests against the handguard. Does anyone have a recommended suspension setup video? Thanks, James
  17. Not trying to be downer but I want need to vent. So continue to read at your own risk. Dropped off bike, got home and called them back and asked them not to do the throttle check. Guy remembered me and said no problem. Go to pick up my bike and they wanted full price. I said no, the throttle was not supposed to be checked. I was told it was already too late by the time I called because the tech had already performed it. That means he got it done within 30 minutes. I think that's BS so I said the labor cost should come down because you told me it was 2-3 hour job. They finally ended up taking 25% off and it still ended up at $461. They also sprayed this crap (SC1 I think) all over my plastic and it looks like shit. He said that's normal and it would go away eventually. On the ride home after gassing up, I finally put in STD mode to get some aggression and frustration out and I don't know what's up, but this bike does not like freeways. I get minor speed wobbles if I get above 65. I spent most of the 600 break-in on canyons and city streets so this was very surprising to me. It really feels unsafe. I'm wondering if the tires are just horrible from the dealer? My 3 year old, 8000 mileage tires felt about 50 times better than these. They are, in a word, scary. I thought the front was going to go out on a 30 mph on ramp. I also feel like the windscreen is optimized for blowing people off the bike. At this point, I don't even want to ride this thing. However, tomorrow will be another day and I'm sure things will feel better. I'm going to down a few beers to reset myself. I probably need to get the suspension at least looked at and setup but this maintenance really set me back. I'm just getting tossed around on bumpy roads. I was planning on getting levers because my clutch hand cramps after 10 minutes. The clutch lever actually sits against the handguard, it's that far out. If you made it this far, thanks. I toast you with my beer. Keep the rubber side down, ride safe. James
  18. Yeah, thanks. I skipped the TBS this time so I'm guessing it will be around $150 - $200.
  19. My quote is $541 for first service with TBS done. My mechanic wanted $290 w/o TBS....jeezus, what did I get myself into???. I definitely have buyers remorse now but it's too late to dump it.
  20. That's good to know, thanks. I averaged, I think, 50mpg for my ride home. I wasn't sure if that was good 🙂
  21. What would you consider good gas mileage?
  22. I think I read on here where you talked about that trip. Thanks for the info on "A" mode. I did read a few people encountering the same issue you just described. I'll probably hold off for now but it would be nice to have some cheap navigation. Thank you for the wealth of info. I think the only thing that really stands out for me to put money into now is mirror extenders. I like mirrors with a little more real estate so I can see more. These ones are tiny to me and it's tough to see around my shoulders. We shall see on the seat though - it feels nice but I don't think I can handle a long trip on it yet. Only seat time will decide that factor. It seems like most items are out of stock anyway right now - Bagster seats, windscreens, etc. This must be a popular bike.
  23. Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get the endurance to ride as far as you do in a day. I'm tired but it hits me the next day too. I'm at around 250/day with 2-3 stops each way on my current bike. I'm hoping to increase that with the GT. My neighbor commutes to San Jose for work from San Diego (he's a general contractor and does tons of work up there). I eventually want to do that ride and make it an overnight trip.
