  1. Alrighty! Lets see someones bike in frame with whatever means the most to them. Family, car, pets, locations, anything goes, just make it something meaningful and what brings you the most joy!
  2. Here yah go! A big old boulder out in Gloucester, Mass! If that'll meet your requirements, the next challenge will be to take a photo of your FJ/Tracer in front of a Naval vessel, any era, type, in or out of water is fine, Lets see some ships! Only rule is it must be a military boat/ship/submarine, nation doesnt matter!
  3. This is a good point. My old FZ1 had this issue and the battery terminal had just barely broken off and it working was dependent on If i was sitting on the seat just right to put pressure on the terminal.
  4. Yea, I found with the new ohlins rear shock and stoltec carts with .95 springs that most of my issue is gone. Ill definitely still get a steering stabilizer after i flash the ecu but the suspension quelled 85% of the wobble. I bet the hand guards would fix another 5%, but i am jealous of your tenacity. You went balls deep on the project and it worked haha Looking good man, thats a dope Tracer
  5. Took the FJ out to Rockport, MA for a spin this morning. Hard to beat the long sweeping roads in Cape Ann compared to the potholes everywhere else around here haha
  6. So in chapter 8 of the manual, there should be multiple pages of difference electrical systems, the diagram for each and what the #'s refer to. Lmk if you find it!
  7. Thats been my only worry but so far not even the Massachusetts potholes have bottomed it out. Im also 250+with gear so shes already sitting low haha But id rather it hit that bottom plate then the oil pan any day. Love the streamlined look down low
  8. You'd have to ask if it'll fit your model year but ive loved the T-Rex Cage and Skid plate on the 15' Tracer I have. Has a nice plate to you can remove for oil changes as well so you dont have to remove everything. https://www.t-rex-racing.com/Yamaha-Tracer-900-GT-Engine-Guards-Skid-Plate-p/n76-19egcombo.htm
  9. Welcome! My last bike was also a FZ1! You'll LOVE the Triple on the Tracer.
  10. Yes! The idle rattle is horrible but it does fade when the bike is warm! Im going to do the slipper clutch eventually though, and it does vibrate quite a bit but you forget about it after a few rides lol Glad your enjoying it!
  11. Nice man, just found myself a 15' in Red with 12,550km on it! Winter is killing me but every day above freezing is a riding opportunity. Love B mode for romping around on slick and cold days. Definitely grab a nice set of tires!
  12. Hey! I grabbed the engine guards and skidplate from T-Rex Racing out of Texas, US. Texas to Mass took only 2-3 days to arrive. Honestly I havent had crash bars before, but these things are pretty damn sturdy, easy installation as well. The skid plate is worth every penny also, It is thick metal that covers the entire oil pan and has a large hatch opening for oil filter and oil changes. Read so many horror stories about those oil pan woes with the FJ's. Also ordered rear axle sliders so ill be installing that as well. Overall Id say build quality and QA is 8/10, Not a fan of the bolts they use on the front connections under the fairing and near the skid plate but its all quality material. Also gives limitless places to install additional lights, tool bags and helmet locks, etc. One of the main reasons I purchased these ones, loves the full wrap around coverage compared to some others that only cover the immediate engine area. I think ill be installing some engine covers too whenever I get around to the clutch upgrade.
  13. Back on two wheels thankfully, this FJ09 is the perfect mix of my old 15' Versys 650 and 06' FZ1. What a platform to build off of!
