Winter or three season glove recommendations

The Sand 4 H20 were PDG and even the touch spots worked OK if inexactly but definitely not great.

They are a bit warmer than my Cortech Hydro GTs but as the latter have medium length gauntlets, the shorter cuffs of the Sands have to go under the jacket sleeves, particular for rain duty (not yet tested); and depending on the jacket sleeve, while fairly slim, can be snug.

Averaged 45 degrees but saw 42 at length but was snug as a bug in my ancient Stitch "classic" 2-pc and their heavy full-leg zip fleece pants (have the matching fleece jacket I bought back in the day along with Stitch and the original Combat Touring boots; the later I sold because they are kind of clunky for street duty), long sleeve 1/4 zip base layer shirt & Warm N Safe jacket 90w liner.  I've gained so much weight my Stitch is pretty snug, and I can't even fit into my Transit 2 pants though the jacket just zips up with the electric liner.

I've GOT to get with my PT and crank down the portion sizes!

Today's very late ride, got home after dark, may be it for the season...

  • 4 weeks later...

So, I've had a few weeks to try out my Scorpion EXO Tempest gloves, and thought I would report my findings:

So far, so good. The only nitpick I have is the weirdly-sized fingers, or maybe it's my weirdly-sized fingers; the fingertips extend a bit from the ends of my fingers. Otherwise, the fit was spot on. I followed their sizing chart and picked a XL, which is a size up from my normal L. I've not ridden in really cold weather yet, but have had a couple of rides down into the 50s and they worked just fine. They have the proper amount of insulation to work yet not feel bulky. There's very little insulation on the palm side, which works well with the heated grips. They've actually made me re-think purchasing hand guard extenders.

Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase, even with the weird fit on my hands. I would recommend them.

Olympia 4350 glove that is now replaced by the 4352 glove. Not bulky and work well with heated grips and handguards.

Also have a pair of Gerbing heated gloves that work well heat wise but are on the bulky side. I prefer a less bulky glove such as the Olympia.
