I’ve noticed that my newish (1500 mi) 2018 900 GT has a rattling dash and windshield. I can’t figure out if this it just rattles more than my old Versys did by design or if something is actually loose. It’s not loud, but going over bumps it definitely moves quite a bit and clatters a little. It’s done this since new.  Anyone else getting this?

My GT is the same and has been like that since new (4.5k km). I found the sound got a lot better once I had hardened the suspension but it still definately rattles on the bumps. With the softer suspension i also used to hear a loud clang coming from the suspension on the bumps at low speed.

My 2019 GT does not do this..

Mine rattled going over bumps, it was the 2 headlamp adjusters each side of the dash, I put a strip of rubber in the fixing so the stalks did not waggle, sorted.

 

I always wear earplugs to protect my hearing from wind noise.  What rattle?  😉
