showmerider
Wordsmith, it sounds like you have had a long and rewarding life and got to do many of the things that bring you joy. Perhaps it is the time to break out the "pipe and slippers", but as long as you have the desire, maybe you should put forth the effort to start building a new kayak. Nobody says you have to finish it in a set amount of days, you can take as long as you want. If your son lives nearby he may enjoy spending time with you and competing one last father and son project with you. I know the older I get, I'm 53, I try to spend more time with my parents when I can. I'm not trying to push you to do something that you don't want to do, I just want to encourage you to enjoy life to the fullest amount possible while you still can. Best of luck and may God bless you and what ever you decide.
