  1. I was considering this awhile back and did similar searches but just gave up. I may just try plastidip'ing the sides if I can get an accurate color (i have the silver model).
  2. When you fill up, how far did you fill up the tank? From my personal experience, I fill up a little past the filler tube/overflow level without over-filling. I tend to get ~180+ miles before the fuel warning light comes on. Also do you have the right side information display set for 'FUEL CON' which is fuel consumed and does it roughly match when you're at the pump? Some of it might depend on weight load, temp and how you're riding w.r.t. throttle.
  3. Nice! Few questions... Which brand - ASV's? Also not that we use the clutch side often with the quick-shifter but is it easier and the throw movement better?
  4. Its a 3D printed part off eBay and has held up very well. Seems someone copied the part and you can probably find it at other sources although I would go with the this one. Many YouTube reviews on it including how I found this... https://youtu.be/heoUPh6ORU8 He's using the older mount in that video. The ebay seller has the newer revision which is what I'm using for my Garmin Zumo XT.
  5. Yea Denali is great but kind of pricey. I have 'em on my C14 but figured with the T9GT wanted to try something new so I went with Diode Dynamics SSC1 light pods mounted on my engine/crash bars. Excellent road visibility both at night and in fog. You can see 'em mounted here...
  6. Best option is just to add auxiliary lights. It can get expensive depending on the brands/models/lumens so if you need something short term, search eBay, Amazon, etc.
  7. As someone who experienced a rock on the radiator on a different bike (C14), I wanted to be sure I didn't experience that again on my T9GT so I installed a radiator guard (Evotech) in addition to a front fender extender (Pyramid). It's peace of mind if a rock or something ever kicks up in that area. I think those 2 items are all you need. I was just on a day trip around Mt Rainier a few weeks ago and didn't realize one of the roads is gravel and glad I was only going <20mph, but thankful I had the radiator guard + front fender installed. After navigating that road for a few miles, I pulled over and checked everything and didn't see rocks or damage so the protection passed with flying colors! https://youtu.be/meAsjmtLIR8
  8. ECU flash has definitely remedied the flat spots in 1st and 2nd gear IMO with no lag anymore. Seems the RPMs were capped at a lower range but now I'm able to take off from a stop much quicker and easier without any hesitation. Throttle response has also improved and is much smoother. And yes the fans are turned on now at 195. See my post to @2NDCHILDHOOD for other ECU flash options to Moore.
  9. I found 3 ECU flash folks with 2 being here in WA. I chose vcyclenut (Dave) as he was able to provide first-hand experience & testing including charts and various methods with steps on each performance upgrade. Also any future ECU upgrades from him are free. 2wheeldyno works are good too but seem to do flashes like a factory. I do go to 2wheelsdyno for advanced moto maintenance that is out of my realm like valves, etc. 1. https://2wheeldynoworks.com/ 2. https://www.vcyclenut.com/2021---23-mt09--tracer-gt2022-xsr900.html 3. https://www.mooremafia.com/ ...vid of him flashing T9GT w/Akropovic => Who ever you choose to flash, you'll definitely see a vast improvement in all ranges and gears especially with an aftermarket exhaust. The one caveat with this flash though is it will not engage CC in lower gears, only 4th and up (default) which is probably a limitation by Yamaha. I didn't ask Dave about overcoming that but maybe its possible and will follow up later. He does disable the O2 sensor but his notes say our bikes need the O2 sensor for CC to activate. Hope this helps and let us know which one you choose! -Robert
  10. Ok just checked and what you're seeing in terms of the dashes is the Cruise Control Speed and not the speedometer. It only shows the CC speed set which is only done at 4th gear or higher.
  11. Hope to see your new T9GT soon, be sure to post pics of it. As for the dash angle, there's no adjustment that I'm aware of. It might require a bit of DIY. But you can change the screen brightness and tach color, thats about it unfortunately. I think once you start riding, you might get used to the angle depending on your seat height as well.
  12. I'm guessing you're asking for the newer '21 and up Tracer models? I haven't tried this but will give it a shot once the rain clears up.
  13. I'm with you on appearance-wise, again why I went with the LV. The welds and quality are great. I also put the DB killer back in as I didn't notice performance improvement and didn't want anything obnoxiously loud while not annoying my neighbors. Here's a pic of my exhaust/bike taken last weekend near Mt Rainier at Chinook pass...
  14. Looks like we we've done similar mods to our T9GT. I bought my silver/blue model back in August, definitely loving the ride! I think you'll find either the LeoVince or Akropovic are the 2 main exhausts people choose. I went with the LV as I wanted to keep the low profile look of the exhaust without it sticking back out near the case. There's also Dominator which someone is selling in the for sale/used section. Whatever exhaust you choose, it definitely adds a lot more rumble and IMHO enhances the CP3 engine.
  15. Loving my Rich's custom seat! I'm able to put in some long ride/saddle time without getting so-called "monkey butt" or any seat discomfort. Just from the last 2 weekends here from Western WA to Leavenworth & Wenatchee aka three pass blasts (combo of either Stevens, Blewett, and Snoqualmie; or Cayuse, Chinook, White or Snoqualmie) it's been fantastic. Over 1500 miles in the last two weeks so that says a lot about the seat. Now I added a new problem, the OEM tires are now needing replacement. Just hit 7200 miles on the Tracer I bought new back in August! Yes it was kind of pricey but luckily Rich is local to us (his website for those who do not know => https://www.richscustomseats.com ) For the newer Tracer's, its kind of hard to get other good seats without paying big shipping then waiting for days or weeks, plus adding time to test out the ride. I've already tried the seat slope thing but for me it wasn't enough and I needed that extra comfort. So yea, I agree if you have the time and $, definitely invest in a good seat like Rich's! Luckily my C14 also has a good custom seat and its NOT Corbin.
  16. Welcome - No (computer) issues either on my '22 T9GT. I think you'll enjoy your new ride. I've done a fair number of upgrades including an ECU flash, no prior issues or nothing currently (knock on wood). Definitely this is the website I refer to for upgrades & reviews, just have to search or go through various threads in many areas. Also suggest looking at YT for reviews.
  17. ^^^ this ^^^ I agree, honestly the dual screen dash is nice once you're over the vanity and not having to view all the info in 1 screen. And the handling coupled with the lightness and flickability makes it a fun fast ride. After I updated to a LV exhaust with an ECU flash, it truly opened up the bike and made it smoother.
  18. I took my seat to a custom seat shop and watched removal of a lot of the OEM foam ('22 T9GT), but he also added the improved foam and shaped it to my butt. So yea you can probably do the removal but highly advise bringing it to someone experienced in this area.
  19. I think I had that same issue when doing the first oil change at 600mi. I used a flat tip screw driver to pry off the old crush washer. Now that I've gone through 2 oil changes, so far no issues removing the old used crush washer.
  20. SW-Motech has a rack and adapter... I have a Givi monolock (not monokey) case (Kawasaki branded) that I use between my T9GT and Kawasaki C14. Works great and although the Kawasaki logo is there, at least the blue color matches which I'm happy with! If you have the monokey case, they do have an adapter if the plate above that kingfisher is referencing isn't available. SW-Motech has their US store based here in the PNW - Portland OR. Here's what I have Adventure rack: https://sw-motech.us/products/luggage/luggage+racks/ADVENTURE-RACK/4052572208854.htm Monolock adapter kit for adv. rack: https://sw-motech.us/products/luggage/luggage+racks/ADVENTURE-RACK/4052572050095.htm
  21. I see you updated a pic-- makes sense you've removed the handguards since you're in Texas! Noticed you added aux lights on the forks. Which ones and did it include the fork mounts?
  22. Welcome etex! Glad to see another new T9GT owner join the group. Hope you can share a pic or two of your new ride. Make sure to read the other areas and threads on this forum! Lots of good info on farkles, ie, accessories, mods, etc once you find what isn't working or needs a little enhancement. Be sure though to do some short and relatively long rides before spending more $.
  23. No option vote for both top and side cases? For long touring I use both top and sides. But on commutes and short day trips, just the top. Depending on season, sometimes just the side over the top case. Again depends on what I'm bringing for layers or other items like tools, etc. If you go aluminum, might add just a little bit of weight. More advantageous with adding more stuff in Al cases since these are rectangular or box form. Downside would be a bit higher cost.
  24. I had the same requirements when traveling/touring, found this on Amazon. Works well although with my 46L Givi case and probably the same with yours, the rear wheel area will show just a little. Otherwise the rest of the bike from the front on is covered. Without the top case, bike is fully covered from head to toe. Low cost too so even if lost or damaged, easily replaceable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0142IHKX0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
