  1. Thank you sir! Yes they are the T-Rex generic highway pegs. Doesn't matter which size clamps as they are not used. They come with 2 different bracket lengths- I used the shorter ones.
  2. Had to enlarge the holes in the spacers and the brackets to 7/16" and buy 90mm bolts but it is very comfortable and rock solid.
  3. Does anyone know the size and length of the front engine mount bolts? I'm planning ahead for a spacer to mount between the frame and some highway pegs without taking it apart just yet. Thanks-
  4. So I took a long ride to test the Madstad. Their recommended size for my height was 20". After researching here, I went with the 22" and feel that I made the right decision. At first I was thinking about returning it as I was having a hard time getting the turbulence under control. I tried ALL POSSIBLE POSITIONS over and over again until deciding on full height and tilted fully back on the adjusters. Seems very small adjustments make significant changes. Being that full height and tilted fully back worked for me, the 20" definitely would have been too short.
  5. Will hopefully be able to tell tomorrow. Wanting to go for a 1st ride with it depending on the weather but it's pretty crappy at the moment, not supposed to be too much better tommorow. At least I can look at it..
  6. I just bought a Madstad for my 2020 GT. I got the 22in light tint and there appears to be numerous tiny bubbles in the plastic. They are sending me a new screen free of charge. I also had their set up on my fz10. I ordered a replacement screen of a different size and it came in with imperfections. They sent 2 more screens for free before I got one that was perfect. I think they have some issues with their plastics, but their customer service has been pretty good for me. They don't want the old screens back so I have a few now.
  7. I love it! My wife lives, loves, rides horses I'll show her this!
  8. Welcome aboard Yamtracergaz! I went the same route too. I have a 2017 FZ10, awesome crazy hooligan bike but not a great touring bike. You can and I have, but it is a little too hardcore. As you stated, fuel range is the biggest problem. I had a 1 gallon gas can that fit in a Givi soft tail bag I had mounted in front of my topcase just in case. Never had to use it but stopping for gas every 110 miles sucks! You will love the Tracer!
  9. I have a brand new pair of Knight Designs 1" drop in silver with rubber tops that you can have for $100 if you want to try them. They came off of my mt10 but they will fit the Tracer. I think I paid $179 for them.
  10. +1 for SW Motech bags. I have the micro and it's big enough to hold a wallet, sunglasses, cell phone with phone and headset chargers, micro fiber rags and a Sig 9. Could hold more in expanded form but I never use it that way. I stole the tank ring off of my fz10 (same gas cap) and just had to put washers between the mounting plate and the underside of the bag only on the front so that it would clear that plastic piece on the front of the tank. Works perfectly and follows the lines of the tank.
  11. Also looks like an excuse to buy a lathe and a welder....
  12. Absolutely! That's kind of what the T-Rex pegs are like. They have a longer drop but I see they may have to be shimmed out a little more on the right side to clear the radiator hose.
  13. That picture is what got the wheels turning. I like the idea but need them to be a little lower.
  14. Has anyone mounted highway pegs to the front motor mounts? I am not wanting to install any crash bars. I was thinking about getting the T-Rex highway pegs, losing the tube clamps, enlarging one of the holes in the adjustable brackets depending on how far down I think would be most comfortable and mounting them with a steel spacer that would not allow contact with the frame. The only thing I am concerned about is that they could possibly rotate on the mount. Not sure if the torque value on the bolt is enough to hold it and not loosen from use. Don't really want to use a rotation stop that could damage the frame or drill anything for a set screw/pin. Any other ideas?
  15. I've got a totally modded out dr650 right now that I'm considering selling for this bike. Looks like you have a hell of a nice place to ride there my friend!
  16. I like these. I assume they would fit a 2020 GT? I'm pretty sure they are all the same but I don't see that listed on RD Motos website.
  17. Thank you very much! That is how I ended up routing it. It was fairly obvious I just wanted to see it.
  18. Should be receiving mine in a few days. I have one on my FZ10 and love it. I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam and ordered a 22". It's 2" over what they recommend for my height, but after reading the comments here I figured I'd give it a try as I want quiet on certain rides. It's easy enough to take a couple inches off with a jigsaw, orbital sander and a propane torch. It's a lot harder to add 2" if I bought too short...
