  1. Winter= perfect time to do upgrades/repairs without any downtime from riding...

I have lived in California and Michigan for a good chunk of my life and Michigan pretty much has it all from were I live... Fishing, hunting, outdoor stuff to do year round... Awesome racing facilities from dirt bike to road courses... Traffic is a breeze to compared to California...

  2. Not a death wobble by any means... Yamaha has a slight rear weight bias on it's motorcycles which leads to a "slightly light feeling" at the front end at triple digit speeds and it's nimbleness... This feeling can be amplified if one rides with death grip on the handle bars, some believe it's the handguards...

Can be solved by raising the forks approx 10-15mm above triple tree...

With a flash, can traction control be defaulted to off when the bike starts?

    Or switched off while moving?

No...only the drive mode can be set with tuning software...

It's becomes second nature for me to spend 2secs pushing the TCS to turn it off as I put on my helmet/gloves..

I think they have a subframe arrangement on them, I would make my own if I had a better pic of the mounts.

I agree, more photos are needed... It could made multiple ways...

I really like what HIGDONION did for a rear sub frame cage on the MT-07 minus the passenger pegs...

  5. I really don't believe Yamahas "published" weight specs, they seem to be an average of other "published" specs from magazines, etc... Sometimes it seems the weight also includes loaded max(ish) weight in sidebags if they are included from the factory to hit 499#??

  6. Cheap no cost solution- remove the stock screen and enjoy the fresh air-many of us go to this route till the temps dip below 45°F ... no turbulence or loud wind noise...

As for a windscreen that works- too many variables to find one that works... Some people are sensitive turbulence, or don't care about turbulence but are sensitive to noise... Helmet plays a factor...

    Hi..

Is it possible to install new tracer longer swing arm (+ new mono) to old tracer models. Mine is 2017 ... or someone had succeed it?

Yes it can be done but not worth the $/hassle in my opinion - decent aftermarket suspension and or moving the forks approx 10-15 above the triple tree( this reduces the "light" feeling at triple digit speeds)...

  8. @fddriver2, @Buggy Nate, @koth442

I do recall some odd behavior I now chalk it up to the kinked breather hose...

    * Didn't fire up as nicely before when cold, but when hot it fired up pretty close to before

    * Didn't hear the "airbox whine" but really noticed after unkinking the breather hose

    * Idle(when warmed up) felt like the bike had a little extra "thump" in it's thump

*Heavier engine vibrations on clutch side- could have put my foot to sleep in time .

  9. To me when TCS kicks in on a straight(ish) line it feels like you ran over a strip of wet freshly painted line... When kinda leaned over ( stock suspension/stock tires in my case) it feels like you hit the "feedback warning" zone on the far edge before you go to far on your rear tire but your still a good inch from the edge of tire... It kinda annoys me a tiny tiny bit ( I'm riding the electronics not the old mechanical feeling of a bike) but experience tells me keep steady throttle and gently ride it out...

I have had TCS kick in drag racing when using the launch Control, the front end comes up too high and the power( RPMs are 8k+) cuts in/out like a pretty fancy anti-turbo lag system it feels like...
