  1. Its so sunny out I thought I could squeeze in a ride with my freshly reflashed ECU. Took a peak at the thermostat and its 14F (-10C)... Think I'll just stay at my desk.
  2. That's a pretty sweet Akro. Are you going to put a skid plate on her? The oil pan is rather vulnerable...
  3. That's what I did too. I'm going to be out of town next week so I figured time to get 'er done!
  4. Yesterday I took the ECU out. About ready to ship to 2wheel for an ECU flash
  5. Got a chance to go for a ride yesterday! Its December and 60 degrees here in MO. Super rare, but very welcome. Hopefully I have time to get out again today.
  6. This game will take off a lot more in the spring when more members can participate. However, I'm sure there are some members who could get a head start on the rest of us
  7. This is a fun game. Played this on a local forum before I moved.
  8. I'm about to take some heat for this BUT.... I went 45k on my Daytona 675 before replacing the OEM sprockets. Only reason I had to replace was a chain lost a roller and the steel shaft dug into the sprockets destroying them. Replaced them with a pair of OEM sprockets that had 20k miles on them and I put another 20k on them before I sold her. Keep on up on the chain maintenance and the sprockets will last a long time. If your rear is fine the front is almost always fine too.
  9. I gave mine a half assed bath and rode her up and down the street to dry her off. Riding days are becoming very few and far between these days.
  10. That white sure does look nice!! D@mn, now I might need to spend more money on my bike... Lets be real. You were going to spend more money on your bike anyway. Now you know what
  11. Just noticed there is some mis-match of numbers going on here. The OP filter list shows the Purolator 14612 is the compatible FJ-09 filter but you've linked the 14610 part. Not sure if this is an error or if both fit but thought it important to point this out so someone doesn't get the wrong one. I have in fact ordered and used 2 PBL 14612 filters now with success for the record. Thanks for pointing that out. That's very strange, I have a bag of PBL 14612's sitting in my garage. Wonder what changed....
  12. was born in SoCal, moved to Grand Rapids a few years later... then I moved back to NorCal for a few years then moved back to Grand Rapids... I have always considered NorCal my 2nd home next to Grand Rapids so I mashed NorCal with GrandRapids zip code which is 616... I had kind of assumed 616 was yet another bay area, phone area code. The things you know....
  13. Man, that is NOT what your screen name would suggest. Sounds like you're a CA transplant as well.
  14. I changed the phrasing a little bit, otherwise I entirely agree.
  15. I'm not sure. That would be a question for @pattonme
  16. That's a great article. Dave Moss is a knowledgeable resource and over all a great guy. Rebound damping allows the shock to rebound at a fixed speed regardless of pre-load. The first thing to do while fiddling with suspension is set your sag. This is suspension jargon for adjust the preload, front and rear, for you. This requires two people. This by Dave Moss goes through the process.
  17. Lol. The literal Chinese translations are always amusing. Glad to see you got your LED's wired in!
  18. I would lean towards cages over sliders. Sliders can catch and flip the bike while sliding. A simple low side could turn into a twisted frame totality. A cage is less likely to do so.
