  6. none whatsoever. I'm a welder and fabricator by trade but retired now. the brackets is welded all the way long. over done in my opinion but complaining had to trim down the spacers for my kappa side luggage frame. I'd recommend it. I was going to make my own till I bought this.
  7. wife doesn't like the colour but she didn't buy it.lol

  13. well the Scottish trip turned out not so good.ended up in A&E.got to Dunbarton .on the(tuesday) following day we got to inveraray but I took bad.vomiting, shaking real bad.a few stops on the way to f/williams vomiting etc. got as far as onich but could not go any further. I was so ill and ended up in belford hospital for 4 nights.honestly I don't know how I manage to travel that far.my wife said my head was dropping down a few times and slightly drifting from the road.the doctors said I got cellulitis and they said I was lucky not to crash and they can't believe I rode through Glen coe.my right ankle and lower half of my leg swelled up.I was in a right state. home now and recovering but no riding or driving for a few weeks.1st picture not sure where we we but on the A82,2nd Oban,foot/leg as it is now but was a lot worst than that. on the road to recovery.
  14. each to their own.but for me no. I can understand if your not a fully an able man or woman then yes this would be useful. the key to safety is dont take risk and ride sensibly. what is one man's brisk riding is another man's going over and beyond comfortably speeds. been riding 2 wheels since 1968 and still have all my bones intact. only ever come off 3 times on a m/bike and that was in my younger days.
  15. thats the 1st thing I did when I got my bike.what a waste of space but not any more. as for the seat flying off our lass will be going with it.lol
  16. can't see the point on the nikken. if you can't ride or handle a two then either buy a trike or stick to the car.
  17. I've never used a torque wrench on any of my bikes these 40 years. never had any problems. granted the the only part I've never worked on is engine internals. only on a T500 two stroke. none have ever come loose.
  18. you'll want ya helmet high up so no scrote can wee in it. those handlebar that I posted up. these will mount onto your existing brackets. those 'D' bit on ya helmet strap can easily prized apart. so if a thief wants it bad enough they'll take it. just cut the strap and fit the other bit off another helmet and sell it on to others. it wont matter to them regarding safety as long as they got the money. where do you draw the line? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MT-07-FZ-07-MT-09-FZ09-MT09-TRACER-Helmet-Lock-Handlebar-Clamp-For-Yamaha-MT-FZ/272258698848?hash=item3f63e20e60:m:mmp4VJMMa_N8n5hDl4Ii_kw:rk:14:pf:0
  19. plenty of cheap ones on ebay. at the end of the day these are only good to keep honest ones off. a thief if he or she wants it bad enough nothing will stop them https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=motorcycle+key++ignition+bracket&_sop=15&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l2632.R2.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xhelmet++lock.TRS0&_nkw=helmet+lock&_sacat=25622 or this................ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MT-07-FZ-07-MT-09-FZ09-MT09-TRACER-Helmet-Lock-Handlebar-Clamp-For-Yamaha-MT-FZ/272258698848?hash=item3f63e20e60:m:mmp4VJMMa_N8n5hDl4Ii_kw:rk:27:pf:0

  21. my understanding on this is that the hand guards are the culprit. read that some recon its cause the the whirling effect on the guards. not ridden my bike as yet. to be honest I dont like the look of the H/guards looks big and bulky so will remove later. .
