  1. My fj left me stranded once...when I ran out of gas. 😝
  2. That's exactly what my bike looked like a year ago! Be warned, keep looking at this forum and before you know it you'll be adding and replacing parts like crazy!
  3. Yes! That's what I want. As far as price goes they are reusable so just a few more should handle my balancing needs. Thank you.
  4. Yeah, I've been on that site and still can't find what came on the bike.
  5. I've done searches on both sites and haven't been able to find any with that type of profile. All I can find seem to be made to clip onto the rim of a car wheel rather than the center rib of our wheels like the one in my picture.
  6. Can anyone tell me what type of wheel weight this is that came on my FJ? Asking at the dealer where I purchased the bike was a total waste of time. I really prefer these to the stick on weights that don't seem to hold on good ,especially on the narrow front wheel. So if anyone knows where I can get this style I would appreciate it.
  7. Pic of the FJ taken on the Cherohala Skyway in September.
  8. A couple of pics from Tail of the Dragon 09/25. Shows a pretty good view of the belly and Delkevic exhaust.
  9. I love my MCCruise! It takes a while to install but it comes with completely detailed instructions that take you through every step of the process.
  10. My FJ wasn't even in the picture. But if you want a new target, how about a picture of your FJ/ Tracer/ GT with a flying prop plane in the background. Extra points if it's an old military plane.
  11. Nothing but green here in the Smokey Mountains this week.
  12. Appreciate the advice about Cades Cove. We'll be based in Gatlinburg, so can't avoid that, but we'll be leaving early in the morning for our rides and coming back in the evening.
  13. Got the bike cleaned up and ready for my Gatlinburg trip and surrounding areas next week. Plan to do the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, Cades Cove and some other fun roads. Planning on taking a scenic route up there that will have me in the saddle for 7 to 8 hours. Be interesting to see how I hold up to that. The longest I've ridden it since I got it is only about an hour at a time. One year and 13,300 miles and nearly all of it has been commuting to work and back. Going to have some soft saddle bags and a waterproof duffel bag that should give me a backrest.
  14. It's the Delkevic with the 14" oval muffler. It's not much louder than stock, it has a lower less raspy exhaust sound. The bracket and clamp that holds the muffler is not the firmest setup. At one point the muffler was rubbing against the rear tire. There is very little room between the tire on one side and the center stand on the other. Sorry, no sound clips, took me forever to figure out how to get that video above short enough to post on here.
  15. Here's an answer I got from 2WDW in response to an email I sent. So I guess I need to see about blocking off the AIS after all.
  16. I know they can still be installed, but would that have any effect other than removing some minuscule amount of weight?
  17. I did let them know I had the Delkevic exhaust on and I assume they disabled the AIS because that was on their list of things their flash does and I didn't tell them not to. Doesn't disabling the AIS electronically mean you don't need to use block off plates?
  18. Well, I got my bike put back together this evening after getting my ECU back from 2WDW's yesterday. While I had it torn down that far I went ahead and did a throttle body sync for the first time. The bike has a little over 13,000 miles on it and the synchronization looked very close, I would say it was fine as it was. However since I was hooked up I went ahead and tweaked a bit. As far as the flash goes I think it feels pretty good and it doesn't stop pulling at 114 mph now. But since it's been down for a week it's hard to say how much better it feels because just getting on it again like it was would feel great! I had recently installed a complete Delkevic exhaust and on deceleration it would do a little popping and burbling which I didn't really mind. Now however after the flash it does some pretty loud backfiring. Is this normal or is the flash not quite right? Is there something I can do to stop it from backfiring? Also the check engine light has come on.
  19. After a few rides you don't have any problem seeing the division between the sticky rubber on the sides and the harder compound in the middle!
  20. What weights did you use for balancing? I recently did mine using the original clip on weights that were on the wheels when I got it but I also used some stick on weights that have since departed. The wheels don't have good flat surfaces for stick ons.
  21. Sent my ECU to 2WDW's Wednesday evening for their reflash. Put a Delkevic full exhaust on it a few weeks ago and used that as an excuse to finally get the reflash. Of course I've always wanted to get rid of that speed limiter since I got the bike a year ago. I just don't believe in letting so one else making the decision of how fast I should ride my bike! Anyhow I'm really missing my ride and can't wait to get it back on the road. Going to be spending a week up around Gatlinburg soon enjoying all the great roads around that area.
  22. Welcome D R, I'm right next door to you in Salisbury. I too have 2017 model, maybe we can get together sometime and check out the mods we've done. Derek
