My 2020, 1st gear power lift no problem {those are scary } ,2and gear need clutch ,3rd gear no way Oh and T C on ,does it make a difference off ? never tried it ,probably cause it defaults when you start bike -
anyone knowingly selling that china fake shit should be hung by their nuts ,,amazon is no better ,I was looking for a water pump for chevy van and all that came up was OEM Delco original parts but the price was way too low ,after scouring around the fine print says original replacement duplicate or something like that ,,if it sounds too good to be true it usually is

went into cycle gear couple days ago and dude said we got a set of the 3s ,cool I come back later with my wheels and hoops these re the 4s ,we dont have the 3s,I was pissed ,$200 more ,but im standing there with wheels and heading out in a few days ,I got him to eat the install ,so I bit the bullet ,,from what I hear the 3s and 4s aren't that much different ,,I think the 4s are better in the rain which I could care less about ,,,I only have a couple hours on tires but all I can say at this point is WOW ,,they lean in so effortlessly ,and carve a line ,,total confidence ,I think you'll be happy

Yamaha USA Announces 2024 Tracer 9 GT+
Bill H replied to Heli ATP's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
Yeah pretty sure it would never do 160,,especially loaded ,,the thing about my 2020 is yes its plenty fast if your jamming through the gears other wise she's pretty flat till rpms get up around 7K 0-100 I can go toe to toe with my brothers 1000R,but after that hes gone ,,but say we are side by side 60 mph and twist it I eat his dust ,,the bmw has a dynamic power band -

Dude I was just about to say the same thing ,,except for a new display you can keep all the other gimmicks If Yamaha would just upgrade the display on standard GT they would sell more bikes ,IMO,,and some better colors -
error code after front and rear tire change
Bill H replied to Rdecae81's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
Did you by chance run the bike in gear while on the center stand ? everything your describing happened to me just before a long trip ,,dealer couldn't fix it ,,went to two wheel dyno ,{I know that doesn't help you } he plugged in his scanner and cleared the code in 30 seconds ,,unfortunately the only way to fix it is to clear that code ,I have seen here on this site you can find one at Amazon or eBay for like 45 $ ,,I hope this helps you ,,the dude Two wheel dyno said his was just a cheap code reader,,maybe you could call them ,see what they used ,,,425 269 5332 good luck -
that only changes position of lever ,,has no effect on actual shifting
-
Adjusting that linkage does nothing but adjust the lever position ,up or down depending on where you like it on your foot,,it ha no effect on actual shifting ,,the only way to adjust the actual throw would be to pull it off the spline shaft but I dont recommend that
-
that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense unless you just ride freeway

Mine was very smooth when new but not anymore ,

Anyone know or are using the Akrapovic S-Y9R3 on newer Tracer {2020} The Akrapovic website calls out for the S-Y9R8 with carbon cap ,while shopping most outlets are coming up with the S-Y9R3 saying it fits 2020, I prefer the looks of the older pipe {no carbon cap} ,these dam bikes are so sensitive I would hate to install and have the computer pick up some weird reading and have it lock something out ,, I once ran the bike for a few seconds with back wheel off the ground and it cancelled Cruise control and engine warning light was always on. Thanks

Bill H replied to yamaham's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
Yeah thats the way to go,,dealer wanted $40 bucks but was out so I just cleaned up the stock one ,didn't look to bad from the top side but down in the crevasse it was loaded with crap,,for giggles I checked the owners manual ,,replace at 24 K ,,thats insane -
Air filter out..any other jobs while Iām there?
Bill H replied to BBB's topic in FJ-09 Tech Questions
I feel like I just fell off the turnip truck,,So I'm R&R my air filter ,,what is the point of removing the foam and is it all the foam or just the smaller black neck piece on the front of the tank ? Also I love the thought of smoother throttle ,but have no clue what APS is ,,does this adjustment require any special tools ? Thanks
