  1. If it makes you feel any better my 2020 ,12K miles does it to, right around 4800 rpm and up ,mostly on acceleration ,,but it pretty much goes away when I back off and just cruise ,,mines foot pegs and seat , sounds like there's some good advise reading some of the post . I think I will do the clutch basket this spring .Best
  2. You cleaned the air filter ? is it OEM ?,,I just did mine ,,some soap and water and air but when I thought it was all good until I peered between the folds ,,all kind of nasty stuff lurking in there,,I was concerned about using compressed air but that material is pretty stout . looks good but I hate myself for being cheap ,,I may just hit the dealer for a new one
  3. I just opened mine up to check air filter ,,found a small puddle of motor oil in there with a fw metal shavings ,,the oil looked brand new ,bike has 12K miles ,,weird ,,so was thinking of also cutting snorkel ,,did it help ,or can you even tell,,I did it on Mt 07 and made it pretty loud on air induction Thanks
  4. My old one did the same and I bend the tabs out ,,than I got a new one from Rampow at amazon ,,fits nice and tight ,,one and done
  5. Thats so annoying but good to know thanks ,,I vaguely remember the C C light flashing sometime after engine light came on ,same with menu acces ,,thanks Yamaha
  6. Really ,,,thats good to know ,,im planning a trip would sure be nice to have C C and accurate time on clock ,,might have to bite the bulllet and go to dealer ,,something I dread
  7. I'll take a look ,I did look at the other fuses behind turn signal ,,all good there thanks
  8. All happened over a few days ,,first I could not and still cant access menu on control panel,,I can operate everything else but it won't open to the main menu ever since I reverted back to stock settings a few days ago because it was being a pain so I thought maybe resetting might help . Then after replacing chain and sprocket ,{stock } and making the mistake [which I've done before with no problem} I ran bike on center stand in gear and the engine light is now on so I tried disconnecting the battery but then today after reconnecting the tcs light was on and cruise control light was flashing ,, the tcs light went off after restarting bike but didn't help with c c light . I did a search here for all issues , seems to all happen at once . Anyone else experience any of this nonsense ? I did see a post about a scanner that would reset engine light I wonder if it would help with the other issues . Oh its a 2020Tracer gt thanks ,,,any insight would be appreciated if I can avoid a dealer ,,,I have trust issues
  9. I think its just a safety thing ,,afraid you may tip bike over ,,but what boob would do all that ,,way too much work
  10. Funny how you trash it then call it a great bike ,,its a love hate relationship for sure ,,I feel the same about my 2020 GT . If it makes you feel any better I have same excel issues even after wasting $350 on a flash ,,5 K rpm in 2and and hammer it and there's a slight bog or flat spot ,,very annoying ,,its like that throughout all gears ,,I just got into the habit of pulling in clutch for a split sec and the bike responds nicely . Some of the crap Yamaha does is mind boggling ,,I don't get that newTFT snorkel , whenever I use hand warmers I feel that cheep plastic push wheel is going to break,,one step forward two steps back ,,anyway I hope things work out for you
  11. Can you tell me what size socket for front nut ,,? Thanks
  12. Its not just the light but the abs is off,,next time light comes on test the rear brake ,,it will lock up Mine starting doing it after I changed the rear tire ,,my FZ07 did the same thing
  13. Ok im not the smartest guy and this may be a dumb question but would simply downshifting a gear with stock sprocket be the same as a larger sprocket ? And is it safe to assume lower gear 1st 2and the bike will be noticeably snappier at lower rpms, I would love to be able to lift the front off the ground in 3rd gear but no matter how hard I try its almost impossible ,,would a taller rear sprocket help?
  14. howdy,,,is there such a thing as slope mod?, always sliding forward on 2020 gt I cut the bumpers a bit but didn't help enough Bill
  15. I dont get it ,,,you have same bike as me ,,3 quarts overfill the glass eye ,,there shouldn't even be a reason to open the 4th quart
  16. as far as washer goes neither my FZ07 or Tracer had one when I bought the bikes. ,,so never used one But did the new Tracer engine get bigger ,,my 2020 holds under 3 quarts ,,did you check your manual ?
  17. can't wear it out if you dont ride it 🥴
  18. Yeah its annoying for sure ,,,I would be fine with 14 K ,,mines around 9K miles A recall would have been cool but they figure by the time they blow up the bike will be out of warrenty
  19. Im ok with the front wearing out about the same as the rear ,,makes making a decision to replace both easier ,,if that makes sense
  20. Im with you on that ,,only takes a couple minutes to oil chain and I actually enjoy doing it ,,for longer trips I just bring a small bottle ,,
  21. Dam good advice on rivet link ,,yeah not a fan of the clip Thanks
