  1. Nice, welcome to the forum and congrats on the new bike! lol this is my 4th triple (the other 3 were Triumphs) and It's a blast. I haven't put nearly enough miles on mine yet. I live near Salmon Falls so I'm out there all the time. I just did it on Saturday and I'm always happy to find new riding buddies.
  2. You're looking for https://www.reddit.com/r/suberbowl/
  3. Awesome, I'll check it out if I want it further forward. Most likely I will, I have kinda long arms and like a more sporty bike.
  4. Aw man I'm so jealous! About both the champion school and tires. I really want to try the s22, the angel gt that came on my bike is just ok. I moved the handlebars forward on my tracer! I haven't gotten to ride it yet but I'm hoping that makes it more comfortable when riding in a spirited manner.
  5. What made you decide to get risers? The stock position is pretty tall already. I'm going to move the bars to their forward position this weekend in hopes that'll be more aggressive in the twisties.
  6. Haha apparently I have no choice. I'll have to see what options are available at the CA DMV.
  7. Haha thanks. I still have that plate on my truck, I might have to see about getting it on the bike too...
  8. Hi everyone, this isn't my first post on here but I finally got a 2019 Tracer GT. I've been looking for the last few months after selling my Tiger 800 XCx to get the cash, and I finally found a used one in great condition (from jrubicon on this forum). I'm in California (Sacramento area) and I'm looking forward to lots of rides before it gets too cold. haha honestly I'll probably ride through winter, I usually do. Hit me up if you want to go ride some time, I'm almost always riding on the weekend even if it's last minute plans. A typical day ride for me is 150-250 miles but I'll do 900 in a weekend going to Crescent City at least once every year. If you find yourself in my area and need help or want some advice on good roads, I'm happy to be of service. I've been riding 10 years now, and have owned something like 15 bikes. I have probably around 60k total miles ridden with 36k on the Tiger. My biggest ride to date was a 2 week trip from home to Banff in Canada (with my wife on her own bike) totaling about 3600 miles. I've also been to around 50 trackdays, mostly on the Daytona that I sold a while back. Currently I have an R3 for trackdays, I was a back marker in AFM for a couple years on a Ninja 250. Despite my track riding (or because of it?) I'm not super fast on the streets. I'll see if I can get some pictures up tonight, but I plan to do a few things to the bike in the next few weeks/months depending on how busy I am. I love that blue color that the Euro tracers have and I'm going to try to replicate it with vinyl or plastidip. Edit: And here are some pictures. I had to get a Precision sticker on there somewhere... RIP Reno Fernley Raceway.
  9. I like that road, but honesty the 11 Pines route over to Wentworth Springs is really where it's at. I do a loop that's folsom to georgetown to wentworth springs to 11 pines to mosquito ridge to foresthill to cool to folsom. It's epic.
  10. Wow, that is awesome!! I would love to have one of those but I don't have a 3d printer. Please put this on Thingiverse so I can save it and add it to my collection of reasons to buy a printer.
  11. Oof, same. I would put a deposit today on this blue. I hate the sparkle orange of the 2020 Tracer.
  12. Did you wrap that yourself? It looks great! I'm looking into the 2020 (since I can't find a 2019 in CA) and I'm not a huge fan of the sparkle red color.
  13. Yeah I was quoted $1700 a month ago for the 36k service on my Tiger 800 XCx. I love a Triumph (I've owned 3), but honestly I don't think I'll ever buy one again because of the service costs and how hard it is to get parts quickly in the US.
  14. Yeah I agree with Rob, it's probably all garbage. I suppose they tricked me into reposting but I just saw it on my phone and hoped it would make sense to someone on a computer. I suppose the point is that there's no real info yet but I wish there was.
  15. I'm dying to know what the 2021 is going to be like. I'm thinking about buying one this weekend but if there are updates or that blue color that the UK got then I want to wait. I found this page that goes over the updates but it's focused on the MT-09 instead of the Tracer. It seems like that one is getting a refresh though. New Yamaha MT 09 2021: PRICES, Datasheet, Photos and Consumption New Yamaha MT 09 2021 → Prices ⚡... I found a YouTube video that says it's a 2021 but I don't know if it's right. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DTui_XenW_kk&ved=2ahUKEwjIvLLS2KvrAhXTv54KHWQFATIQjjgwDXoECAQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1aGOUU2fAS6WaDoS98rCGj
  16. That sounds like a personal attack. haha!
  17. Yeah the East Track. There was a small windscreen on the MT-09 so the wind really wasn't that bad if you get close to the tank. I'm not real hard on the throttle on a borrowed bike, so coming over T5 was nice and smooth and then getting on the gas on the downhill and through 5A felt great. If you got on the gas earlier it would definitely lift the front. I tried the MT-07 too, and honestly that one almost felt more prone to lifting the front (for me) because it was a blast to wack open the throttle on such a light bike.
  18. Damn that's a lot of days at THill!!! I can't even imagine having 700 trackdays, let alone at just one track. I think I have like 20 or so there. Yeah it was Z2 and Ryan was there with the demo program. I didn't get to chat much but he seems like a cool guy. I'm definitely jealous of that gig, it sounds amazing to work with the Yamaha school. I spent a little time working with Precision and PTT, and that was a ton of fun. ...I need to get back into that somehow.
  19. I feel like the tail of the dragon is a bucket list thing. I'll have to do it if I'm over there, even knowing there's better around. I'll just plan on spending more time there. For a minute I was contemplating buying a tracer from Texas and riding it home the long way to visit a few states over there. Unfortunately I can't really get 2 weeks off to do it right. I got to ride the MT-09 yesterday for a session at Thunderhill and man was that fun. I'm definitely getting a tracer/fj now! haha. Now the only question is do I have the patience to wait to sell the Tiger first...
  20. Damn, I can't say that I've ever gotten both wheels off the ground before! I'll have to check out Scott Rd. Lol not that I'll make it off the ground. I was just out near sheep ranch a few weeks ago and man is there a lot to explore out there. I need a big day to go get lost there.
  21. Haha don't be jealous just because you moved away. We miss ya bud! Some day I'm going to make it out to your neck of the woods to ride.
  22. Man that mush have been great! I'm just off salmon falls road now and it's just OK compared to MRR.
  23. You guys are killing me with all this talk of roads in my back yard! I'm in the Folsom area and I've ridden most of these roads many times. Hit me up if you want to ride or need some suggestions in the foothills. I like making google maps of my rides. Man I have next week off and you guys are making me want a big midweek ride! I still need to sell my Tiger so I can get a Tracer/FJ, hopefully that'll happen soon.
