I don't really see anything that makes me want to trade in my 2020 Tracer 900GT for the new one!

Me either...that exhaust on the new one is beyond hideous and in talking with Ivan, he probably won't have a tune for the bike as nobody can access the processor.

It is starting to tempt me a little bit but still super happy with my 2020 GT.  Comes down to a question of money and the Mrs.  LOL "why do you need a new bike you just bought that bike".

What got my attention is his description of the suspension and the engine.  Suspension certainly is a big upgrade over stock 2020.  I've adjusted mine but needs more tweaking and probably need to go to a full Ohlins at some point.  When contemplating cost and everything it makes the upgrade tempting.  5 gallon tank would be a nice upgrade.

At CAD $17K this bike is still the best overall value of the lot in the segment IMO... but a better value for me is still the modded bike in my garage. I thought it was a smoking deal then (CAD $9K in 2016)... but it looks like an even better deal now. 😁

not sure I'll be able to justify the extra 6k+ in cost to upgrade, no matter how much "better" the GT is

With you on that statement, When I test rode the Tracer I was so blown away with the difference between that and the Honda CBF 1000 I had then that I was more than happy to empty the "piggy bank" and throw money at the dealer. It would have to feel the same before I would look at changing and trading up

I stopped by at a dealer today to see this bike. A very nice machine. The key thing that stood out for me while sitting on it was the wider seat (front bit) and fatter tank. Felt pretty good. The Versys 1000 sitting right next to the Tracer felt very similar, albeit the suspension felt much softer. Subject to adjustment I am sure.

I know what you mean... although my first experience with CP3 was the FZ-09 (MT-09). The thing seriously tried to kill me on the first test ride, but I was grinning wide the whole time. I test rode it two more times after that. 😁
