Akrapovic Carbon on FJ

I thought I had seen a few posts where a couple of different owners had managed to install the Akrapovic Carbon exhaust on the FJ by modifying the center stand bracket.  Now I can't seem to find the posts.  Was I imagining them?  Anybody else see those posts?  If so, can you point me to them?

There are 3 different Akrapovic exhausts that will "fit" the FJ. 2 are considered to be Titanium and one is Carbon. The newer Titanium one has a Carbon tip (https://www.akrapovic.com/#!/motorcycle/product/road/17255?brandId=41&modelId=339&yearId=4439) which can be fitted with the center stand. The Akrapovic Carbon (https://www.akrapovic.com/#!/motorcycle/product/road/20017?brandId=41&modelId=339&yearId=4439) can not be fitted with the center stand (as far as I know).

No, that's one of the one's I found in my searches.  I was sure I had seen a couple of posts, with pictures even :D , where they had installed the full Carbon system, not either of the TI systems.

Thanks for looking

http://fj-09.org/post/55663... I had to clip the center stand stop and use a heavy rubber hammer to hit the center stand rubber stop bracket towards the outside of the bike by like 3mm

That seems to be in reference to the Graves exhaust.

i just installed the new system with the carbon end cap. after some searching you can remove the baffle but can not reinstall because there is no screw holding it in. you have to drill a hole and weld a nut to the baffle and drill a hole thru the carbon cap to access it. but to do that you have to take the carbon cover off first. so this needs to be done before mounting the muffler. the old system already had the screw to remove the baffle. not sure why they dont have it on the new one. and the center stand clears it.

I think I remember reading that the new Akrapovics come without removable baffles because they have better performance numbers with the baffles installed... could be mistaken. I will try to find what I am referring too.

Here's mine with the carbon, I had the dealer remove the centrestand and I had to take the right side bracket off to fit the pipe. It went on pretty easily though and it sounds fabulous.
