sunshine
Hi Guys, As per the service manual, I'm trying to adjust the rear brake-pedal using these two nuts: The problem is, the nut labeled "2" in the diagram is attached to a rubber diaphragm that twists as you move the nut, which in turn unwinds the nut after you adjust it. So, how the hell do you do this? Thanks!

sunshine
I'm just gonna re-upload the image again here since the sponsored add image feature doesn't seem to be working: So as you can see from the diagram, the nut marked "2" is attached to a rubber diaphragm that twists if you turn the nut, which then in turn will unwind as soon as you let go of the nut that its attached to. Premium Member DavidS Posted May 23, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted May 23, 2017 a dab of oil on the boot then the shaft spins great Great Tip! I struggled last time I adjusted mine, and have been putting off adjusting it again, even though it needed it. Just went out and tried the oil, and it worked great! carey
a dab of oil on the boot then the shaft spins great This is what worked for me. Also, after adjustment, make sure your brake light switched is not on all the time. DAMHIK.
