Supporting Member scjaws Posted August 25, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted August 25, 2017 I have a manual on order, but it hasn't come in yet. I need to know the secret to removing the rider's foot peg. See photos. It doesn't have a cotter pin or a circlip. I bought a set of FZ09 pegs and can't figure out the left side. Supporting Member scjaws Posted August 25, 2017 Author Supporting Member Share Posted August 25, 2017 Thank you, I was afraid it was a rivet head.
duhs10
The second larger ring is actually a washer. I thought twice about drilling mine out, but once I finally did it, it was very simple and unintimidating. Probably 15 seconds of drilling is all it took. '15 FJ-09 w/ lots of extras... carey
I replaced the pegs on my FZ1, and had to drill the rivot head like the FJ09. For replacement pins, I ordered some for an FJR. Same diameter, but use a clip or cotter pin (can't recall). They were cheap.
