nicksta43
While I was cleaning the bike today I noticed what looked to me like a crack around the front hole that attaches the rear shock cross member to the frame on the right side. But it looked like the powder coating is down into the crack. None of the other holes show any sign of cracking. I'd be surprised if it came from Yamaha like this but I really can't explain it. Tell me if you think it is a crack or if your bike has something similar. It's a 2015 with just over 8k miles.

Supporting Member texscottyd Posted July 7, 2018 Supporting Member Share Posted July 7, 2018 Yup. I was thinking there had already been an investigation into this... glad you found the thread. For what it’s worth, I just took a look at my ‘15 model, and it is identical to the pictures you posted.
nicksta43
I'm more worried that it took me over two years of ownership to notice it...
wordsmith
I recall that I too found an identical 'thing' on one of my three Tracers some long time ago when this topic first emerged. I soon forget about it... Riding a fully-farkled 2019 MT-09 Tracer 900 GT from my bayside home in South East Queensland, Australia.
