  1. I replaced my stock battery after 33 months/36,000 miles. There were no performance symptoms but testing showed some degradation. I attach a battery tender if I’m not sure I will ride in next couple of days.
  2. Teespring shipping is difficult to understand. On February 6 I ordered a tee shirt and mug in the same design. The shirt has been delivered. Mug arrived at a DHL location sixteen miles from my home on February 15 and hasn’t reached me yet. February 12 I ordered a different design shirt, also from current campaign. It arrived in about ten days. Between these dates I received notice of shipment of another mug. Turns out it was from 2017, a previous FJ-09 design that was now funded which I had totally forgotten about. I contacted Teespring and asked for order cancellation and refund, which they promptly did. The mug arrived anyway. I contacted Teespring and offered to ship back mug if they sent a shipping label and got no reply.
  3. Would also be fun for people to post photos of themselves wearing their shirt while visiting fun/exotic/out of the way places
  4. Designs are good I think. Not sure how it would sell but how about an embroidered collared golf/polo shirt?
  5. The Hornet Deer Whistle - Electronic Deer Avoidance System WWW.XP3HORNET.COM The Hornet deer whistle electronic deer avoidance system by XP3 Corporation is the ultimate deterrent against costly and deadly motor vehicle deer accidents. Deer are the the deadliest animal in the USA. Opinions? Something to it or complete bollocks?
  6. No sightings in Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. However I’ve not seen another FJ-09 or Tracer 900 either!
  7. I like the idea of an option highlighting the engine. I’ve always dug this Triumph design
  8. Here’s what I have https://www.customled.com/pages/custom-led-blaster-x-motorcycle-tail-lights and I’m satisfied.
  9. • 2015 FJ-09 purchased new April 2016 • 35,300 miles • year round riding - commuting, weekend jaunts, occasional multi-state trips and rallys. I don’t baby her but no hooligan stuff. • ECU flash, Akrapovic exhaust, various bolt-on mods • have followed Yamaha maintenance schedule. No mechanical issues so far. Replaced chain at 20k miles, have had valves inspected and throttle bodies synced.
  10. This is an outstanding modular helmet, superior to my previous flip front Schuberth in every way.
  11. Have you considered Kriega https://kriega.us/bike-packs-1/? Excellent quality, modular system allows mix & match of varying bag sizes, quick on/off the bike.
  12. https://www.skenelights.com/new-products Anyone running this? It operates the high beam bulb at a lower setting in addition to the low beam.
  13. Cruizin needs our financial support to launch the new forum version. He's got the teespring thing going which will net him a few bucks, but a continuous revenue stream is required. On another motorcycle forum that I frequent it is common in the classifieds section for sellers to donate a percentage of their sales price to admin; 10% is standard. The fact is these transactions would not happen without Cruizin. We enjoy a professionally managed, trouble-free experience. He also has our backs on security. Paying for what we use is the right thing to do.
  14. Time for a review of the Shoei Neotec. I've put more than 7,000 miles on it and I am very impressed. It's better than my Schuberth S2 in every way. Particular strengths: - Superb ventilation. Air flow is very noticeable across top of head when sweaty - Comfort. Firmly supportive and cushy at the same time, The ear cut outs are positioned just right, my ears always slide right in, I imagine it would easily accept Bluetooth speakers. - Smooth, quiet flip,up action. This is my first modular helmet and it is the way to go especially for touring. Really useful at gas and bathroom stops. - Best sun visor I have used. Excellent clarity, smooth operation, dark without effecting vision. - Hi viz option - Weight feels the same as full face helmet, even over multi-hour rides - Liner removal is easy enough; ditto the visor - D ring buckle (I didn't like the Schuberth ratchet style) - Pinlock insert is included. After using this you'll never do without If it's in your price range give it a look. At a 54 cm head I straddled the small and x-small size. I went with the x-small and it has broken in nicely. A few hot spots early on but no more.
  15. I will be getting a Neotec next week. I've tried on a size small (which is comfy) but the Shoei size chart puts me at the high end of an x-small. The local Cycle Gear location is bringing in an XS so I can compare. This will be my first modular helmet. I have a long tour scheduled for July so the time seems right to make the switch. I'm going for the brilliant yellow color. My new jacket lacks hi viz, pants are black, and bike is matte grey. I feel like I might be blending into the road.
  16. I had this stalling problem with my Street Triple R. The source was never definitively ID'd but the suspicion was throttle bodies. My engine would cut out usually when slowing to a stop with clutch engaged, and a couple of times on the freeway while slowing in traffic.
  17. My previous ride was a 2012 Street Triple R and I agree with your observations alejandro. I was most surprised at how the FJ-09 likes to lean over even more than the STR. I'm 1500 miles in and the transmission clunkiness is smoothing out.
  18. Greetings FJ friends from Coppell (near DFW Airport). cman that might have been me - my office is on Walnut Hill near Greenville. I don't go east of 75 (I think Walling is near White Rock Lake) during my commute, but have been there on the FJ-09.
