Honestly if I were you I'd just ditch the stock front tire, the road 5's have a lot of tech in the front tire to make the bike handle better and the stock tires are crap. I swapped both my stock tires out with less than 3k miles on them and it was totally worth it IMO.If I had the extra $$ right now I would...

I'm in the same boat... 99.9% sure I'm going with the PR 5's but only doing the rear now, as the front has less than 4K miles on the original tire... Rear didn't last for shite! (I may like aggressive corning too...)

My stock 'laps are about shot (rear) after riding hard in the twisties and about 3500 miles LOL, but PR5's are my likely top choice for replacements.

Last time I was out there we had a similar group haha. FJ09, GS1200, Street Twin, Tiger 1090, Tenere, and a KTM Supermoto

Between Nashville and North Carolina some real hidden gems of roads! Butler map shows a lot of them but there's definitely some they missed!

Rode about 430 miles this weekend on arguably the best and most curvy, traffic free roads in middle Tennessee, and maybe even the entire state.... (Change my mind ) Roads included, 96 north and south near Buffalo valley, TN and Center Hill Lake, 290, 53, 135, 136, 293, 85, 262, 84, 164, 52, 56, 70 and 70 North, 265, and 141! Minimal time on the interstate which is always great but damned if we didn't get stuck in traffic from a wreck! Standing Stone State Park

Except for me.... I was gassin up hen you came out of the store. I thought you went over by the car wash and parked but when I finished and went over there y’all were gone. I went over to Robbinsville, 129, and th south foothills parkway from there. The fog made it sketchy on top in a few places. Was that on Sunday last week? We were probably about to hit the road back to Nashville. I woulda thought I'd caught another FJ with my eyes but maybe not!

I think I saw you at the Exxon in Tellico. You took off before I got gassed up and could say hello. Aw dang! Yeah probably, I was the only FJ around that weekend!

Same.. put in 360 miles on Saturday and 600 the previous weekend.

Same temps here in Nashville....

I need to ride that soon. Headed to Tellico one week from today for March Moto Madness and plan to ride all of the great roads there in the mountains, hopefully we make it there as well!!!
