  1. Wish I could. All I know is I was happy with mine, but I have no experience with upgraded suspension. It was worlds better than my last bike (2003 Honda shadow) and the adjustment knob was great (I constantly used it since I dropped my kid off at school daily)
  2. Sorry to hear about your 2017. I just totaled my 2019 GT. I loved it. Was my daily driver for a bit over 3 years. The whole package worked well together (except the windshield) I'd see if the exhaust fits, if not maybe sell it and put it towards an exhaust for the 2019 and keep the top box. Should be fine as long as you keep it light. I was just about to get either an OEM or shad for mine because it gets old carrying my helmet everywhere. I never saw the benefit of CC till I had it on my GT. Rarely used it but when I did I was happy I had it and will definitely want it on my next bike (2022 tracer 9 GT probably), especially in those long stretches on the interstate when no other cars are near me and I can relax a bit. Oh and yeah, CC to keep speed.,... Way too easy to go above the speed limit on that tracer 🙂
  3. Ok thanks. Must've misread it. Still would suck to get rear ended or something because of it.
  4. That really ticked me off with my tracer 2019 recall. I don't have another vehicle. Took them 7-8 months to get the part. Good thing it wasn't anything important, only the brakes potentially failing to operate.
  5. If definitely love to see it. I loved my GIVI crash bars on my 2019. If I was cruising and no present potential dangers near me I'd prop up both of my feet on em. Kinda on the fence about which bars to get when I get my next bike.
  6. Anyone know? I know the 2019 had like a 350ish lb max load (rider / passenger and luggage) I can't find anything on 2021-2022 max load capacity online.
  7. Now I'm even more anxious to get one lol. That following weekend I was actually going to pull the ECU to get it flashed to smooth out the throttle and have been trying back and forth about the exhaust. I mean the stock exhaust was ok, but I've heard it with an Akropovich and graves, sounds amazing, but it was hard to justify the price tag. I'll be really happy if my helmet fits in the saddlebags (I have a cardo hanging off the side), it does get tiring carrying it around.
  8. Other than a spanking new titanium wrist I'm ok. 2 lanes of traffic. Left lane was backed up (about 20 vehicles waiting to make a left), right lane fully clear (I was in the right lane). Lady coming in the opposite direction made a left between the stopped cars and just pulled on through without looking to see if the other lane was clear and I T-boned her. Could've been much worse, I'm happy to have just a broken wrist. Crappy part is now I'm forced to: 1. Drive a cage until I heal. (My tracer was my daily driver) 2. Try to find a tracer in stock after I heal (last night the nearest one to me was 130 miles away)
  9. I was on the fence about trading in my 2019 900 GT for a 2021 9 GT when they came out. So many upgrades. It didn't make sense financially at the time so I didn't. Just totaled the 2019 a few weeks ago so looking for a 2022. What's it like going from the 2019 to the 2021?
  10. I like the big fenda extenda functionality, but I agree, it's pretty fugly. If they could roll the looks of the small version into the functionality of the large one they'd have a winner. I'm kinda torn with the rear. The rear hugger extension looks like it would work well. Has anyone tried the one that kinda bolts behind the rear tire? Just kinda wondering it's purpose and how well it works?
  11. I like the aggressive look of that, but I have to stay away from anything that reduces ground clearance. In my neighborhood (and only in my neighborhood) the are several speed bumps that made my 2019 bottom out,.. I'm pretty sure the speed bumps are built way out of spec.
  12. I ended up getting the givis for my 2019, work great. Mom in law backed over my bike, son dropped twice in parking lots and wife dropped it in my driveway...,.. Bike was totaled Monday and I'm now the proud new owner of a titanium wrist 🤕... Any consensus on bars for 2021-22 yet?
  13. My dealership accidentally ordered an extra decal kit when they replaced my fairing and let me keep the spares. I was going to cut those up and use for pinstripes. it's definitely an exact match lol.
  14. Great reads guys thanks. I've not taken my bike to a track yet, so as a noob still trying to expand my comfort zones and abilities. Not trying to be street Rossi, but trying to have some fun and understand stuff out of my normal scope a bit more. I'm hoping to get a track day in our 2 someone this upcoming year. Having a clean and clear road without soccer moms trying to run me off the road I'm sure will allow me to focus more on increasing my abilities.
  15. OZVFR- so your saying maybe I'm leaning the bike too much?
  16. Right outside the gate from my job is a roundabout. The highlight of my day. It's about 50-60 feet wide but I have to make a left (270 degrees) so it's not a sharp tight roundabout, but not a long sweeping one either. The approach is pretty straight, I setup for the lean ahead of time (shift my body and butt) and on entering I'm on the left side of entry lane and enter on the right side of the inner lane (the entry lane is 1 lane, part of the roundabout is 2 lanes, with a single lane exit) at about 20-25 MPH and slowly accelerate as I go around the roundabout. When I get to about 180 degrees sometimes I feel like I'm going into the exit a little wide and want to bring it in a little tighter, but I have a weird feeling sensation, where I can't tell if the bike wants me to steer or countersteer to turn tighter inwards. (And then I have to lean the bike right for the exit) Am I accelerating too much? Maybe leaning too much on entry? Any tips/advice? Thanks guys
  17. I do it all the time also. One reason you may have to do it: I parked at a McDonald's and ran inside for some food and came out to see a Ford F250 parked right behind me to block me in for "taking up a whole parking spot with my 'Lil' motorcycle". It's a 2019 GT so not really little and I'm 5'5" so back pedaling is not an option. I geared up, spin my bike, hopped on and accidentally punched his tail light on the way out. I also know first hand how thin the kickstand material is. My mother in law backed into my tracer and snapped the kickstand. After seeing someone else's (broken in the same exact spot) I think we came to a consensus we think there is an intentional weak spot to control the break location. I have faith in my kickstand. I can't throw a leg over my bike I literally have to climb up on it, and I sit on top of my bike all the time with both legs up either on my pegs or crash bars and the kickstand down so I've put a good amount of stress on it.
  18. 2019 GT. I'm 5'5" I'd love to have a slightly lower seat. I can't get over that dash... I'm looking at everything and everything is such an improvement.. but that dash is a serious downgrade IMO.
  19. I bought an OBD just to reset my ABS light. Adaptor was pretty cheap. Here's the one I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B083JTPVWB/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_inactive_ship_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. Same. After 25 years of plugging I just learned about the rubber cement thing last year. Plugs slide right in. Last 2 plugs I put in I almost pushed em all the way in the tire they were so slippery.
  21. Just saying, I love my 2019 GT. I was Tempted to trade it for a 2021. The 2021 had some nice upgrades over the 19-20
  22. Just play with adjustments to you find what's right for you. My riding boots are pretty thick. My work boots are ultra lightweight thin combat boots. I keep mine adjusted so I barely have to work to get my thick riding boots under the lever, but the trade of is is not too far off a reach when I have my combat boots on. Make sight adjustments every week or so, You'll eventually find a comfy compromise.
  23. I know it's hard to tell what's what in those pics, but it's obvious where I put it once you get that tank off.
