  1. My guess is with the +1 up front and a worn chain, you were just outside the parameters for CC to work. Much like us that tried -1 in front. There's a happy medium that ol Yamaha accounts for.
  2. Was a glorious day for a ride, dropped the kiddo off at the old folks home and ran around 350 miles. Wife decided it was time for a big girl bike as well. Sadly the white z650 she had her heart set on was gone before we got there so we'll wait a bit longer.
  3. You nailed it, "in your experience". It's all subjective, just like women, food, and voting.
  4. I'm a huge outlier when it comes to gas, since last year when I got a new job I've put 3k miles on my car. Wife does maybe double that, gas doesn't directly affect us at the pump mostly. We put more miles on our motorcycles than our cars, so our leisure expenditures are up but that's about it. I will never had a traditional commute again. I can budget for my income, but I can't make more time. 2 hours in traffic a day is a frigging joke no matter the pay.
  5. My gronk showed up around 4-5k miles on my 2020, taking care of mine this next winter.
  6. And this is where I keep my various lengths of wire right next to my human hand collection.
  7. You'll get a lot of light flare off headlights/street lights due to the double pane. It's lawyer talk but at the same time noticeable. Bothers some.
  8. Wonder if that's why we can get away with 16/47 on the tracer.
  9. In today's market at dealership trade in, I'd ask for 7k and be happy with what I'm getting screwed over on. Private sale I'd probably ask 9k and settle on 8k.
  10. Christ almighty, damn crosswalk squares, the one out of my neighborhood has a good 20 layers of paint on it and its slick as hell. I can't even make a normal right hand turn when it's dry without slipping.
  11. Now if we could just get those darn tree's to stop dropping their wet leaves on the road in the fall.
  12. Nope, still road 5 at this point, have a set of road 6 sitting at my tire guy's place, usually around july/august i'll need to change. MSTA? Nope that's my tire guy's sticker.
  13. Someone might have some use for these: Stock front and rear sprockets USED 5k Miles 16/45T SOLD Superlite front and rear sprockets BRAND NEW 15/45T SOLD Superlite front and rear sprocket USED 8.5k Miles 16/47T 10-20 bucks depending what you want, hint they get cheaper the more you buy. Plenty of life in em, I'm just going the fancy route, gotta match the chain and all that jazz. I don't know paypal,instagram,westernunion.. whatever, I'll just send em to you, when you get em toss some money in the mail.
  14. Horse a piece, 16/45 has a lot of repeating patterns for same link same tooth. I'd always take more acceleration and even wear but Yamaha didn't think that one through, wonder if it was incompetence, safety, or emissions that kicks the cc off. Anyhow, my boy changed the brake pads out for me sorta, his shop rates range from pancakes to Oreos.
  15. What makes it worse 15/45 is the perfect combo for chain wear as well. Now I have to wait for a new front and rear sprockets as well. Oh well, at least it's going to rain for a week straight here. I also learned my oem chain is toast, I could almost see daylight when I pull the chain on the back of the rear sprocket . Glad I got a new chain. 14k outta that bugger.
  16. @Wintersdark Just confirmed this as well on my 2020 GT 5 mins ago. 15/45 is a no go for factory cruise control in 4-6 gears. Mine only cost me. 15T sprocket. Thanks for the knowledge, I would have been cashing my tail as well.
  17. Might be tough if it's spinning, helps if you can apply a little pressure to the panel at the same time as well to kinda hold it in place.
  18. Following intently, still have my new chain and 15\45 sprockets waiting. Was going to pull the trigger this weekend but holding off now. I don't think anyone else has this setup on a Tracer 900 gt at this point, plenty of FJ's but that's a whole different platform without OEM CC.
  19. Individual dyno numbers are useless, varies way to much from dyno to dyno, conditions, operator...ect. With enough of them you can kind of get a nice average to figure out a baseline of sorts.
