I have a 2015, but the new GT model looks like all the small issues have been fixed!
My pet peeve about the FJ-09 has also been addressed in the new GT. That would be the mirrors. The stalks appear to be lengthened, unless the handlebars are that much narrower.

According to tech data and reports, the bars are narrower, but - tho' don't take this as gospel - only by a very small amount I bleeve, <2" overall.

Riding a fully-farkled 2019 MT-09 Tracer 900 GT from my bayside home in South East Queensland, Australia.

mirrors shouldn't protrude beyond the handle bar thats the law in most country but nothing stopping you extending it.
its the same with exhaust must have catalyst but nothing stopping you fitting aftermarket ones.
in other words manufactories have to abide by the law,
the EU wanted to ban all accessories for bikes but soon realise how many job losses their would be so it was shelved.
