Great read! I just rode CA-139 a few weeks ago; it's one of my favorite go-fast roads.

Around here most people think if it's not a Harley then it's a crotch rocket.

A Harley rider at work recently asked me, "Aren't you uncomfortable all hunched over like that?" He asked me this while I was standing right next to my FJ.

Great write up. Totally agree with you. I ride the same on my Katana vs my FJ-09. Same curves, same speeds, same "attitude". But for some reason, people are much nicer to me on the FJ.

Great read, thanks for posting!

Agree 100%, though the idiot cagers here in AZ still won't use a turnout, even for a benign touring rig like the FJ9...

Personally, I enjoy roosting sportbikers, leaving them confused, seeing my hard bags and topcase winking at them as I recede into the distance. :D

Sounds like I'm not the only one that puts the bike in "A" Mode when they see another sportbike :)

I'm just glad I'm not the only FJ owner who channels their inner "hoonigan" when in the twisties. With that being said, I rarely see actual repli-racers anywhere out of the city limits. The old men on sport touring bikes are the ones that'll learn you in the corners.

Glad to help further your education........
