Tail Tidy that works with saddlebags?

Recommended Posts

Looks to be incompatible with the bike... but who knows, let us know how it goes.
I'll see, all I need are the lenses and from looking at online Yamaha parts listings, Yamaha has been using the same lenses for years on other models-the seller just doesn't list all the compatible bikes.

I ordered this kit off eBay from railside motorsports. Since I have givi v35 side cases the signal lights would be hidden from side view. I also have the givi top case rack installed, im going to mount my Oxford led signal lights in the rack so that they are the same level as the tail light. This will mount them just high enough to clear the side cases so that they can be seen from the side.
Ill post pics when im all done.

... could be that they will match... comparing photos below, at least the screw and notch on the housing look promising. I will lookup the part# in the UK parts catalogue (EDIT: pic at bottom) and do some digging in the event your experiment doesn't work out. The ones Clint picked up are nice too, but if I can just get the lenses... :|

I finally received the eBay turn signal assemblies this past week, and they are different as piotrek showed, but they are smaller and look like a good replacement to the stock U.S.-spec lights, but not LED like many want.
As the wire connectors are "bullet" style connectors, and not to hack my wiring, can I just go with something like the wiring adapters that are available on eBay? (As pictured?)

That's what I did.  Made it a plug and play installation.  Simple and clean.

I just removed the whole plate/turn signal assembly, and removed the top half of it, then mounted the lower half to the existing 4 holes in the subframe. Two were slightly offset, but a little filing resolved that issue. It effectively raised the assembly by 5-6", looks much neater, and cost me zero.

After I went to saddlebags, I took off the stock signals and went with the MotoDynamics all-in-one taillight/turn signal, and I'll deal with inspection when that time comes.

I use the yoshimura and some smaller led signals https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/yoshimura-fender-eliminator-kit-yamaha-fz-09-fj-09
My soft bags work with it just fine
I have the yoshimura kit as well which led signals did you go with? I'm a bit of a noob at this kinda stuff.
'17 electric white fj - oem heated grips - oem hard side bags - heated corbin saddle - mra touring screen - motodynamic tail light - baja designs led turn signals - yoshimura full exhaust/fender eliminator - k-tech razor r rear shock/front fork kit - evotech radiator guard - mt-09 adventure pegs - pazzo shorty levers - stainless bar end weights
'19 Husky fe501 - cut off a few things and fixed the fueling

Hey I'm in the same dilemma as the other here. Can you please post pics of the mod you did with the stock plate frame? I was kinda thinking of that, I've already replaced the pumpkins with compact KTM LED turn signals but I may be getting Shad bags so unsure how that will work

I am having the same issue... saddlebag and rear indicator (blinker) interference.

I current have the Yoshimura Tail Tidy with Speed Metal small LEDs, but there is interference .

Has anyone tried either of these indicators (blinkers) to know if they work with or without interference?

I have the X-Arc signals and love them. They are small and VERY bright, made out of aluminum so you won’t bump into them and break a weak plastic mount.
And... they are on sale!!

How wide are the X-Arcs? Would like to know if they will hit the backside of mounted factory side cases when attached to a Yoshimura Tail Tidy.

Also, what do they look like on the bike? Do you have a photo of them on the bike?
