Well in fact, I'm not "that new" but just began posting. I purchased a new 2016 FJ back in October, just before the winter (to get a better price and 6 months to farkle it before the next riding season ;) ).

I just finished my winter project, all the bells and whistles are now installed to make it mine. Here is the bike I should ride on for the next couple years.

Cheers !

Lots of food for thought there, QC - and the links extremely useful.   Thank you...

That is a really nice FJ that you have there. Thanks for posting all of those links!

How did you fit the side cases to the rack? I have the rack, but like how those cases fit the bike compared to my massive givi cases
See This post on how I did it. If you really want to get fancy, there's a company called Caribou Cases that sells the required DIY hardware to fit Pelican cases (or any other...) on many brands of racks (Givi, SW Motech, Hepco Becker). They have a quick release with a key lock but since I purchased the Givi removable rack, the cases are permanently tied to the rack and I just remove everything together. That's why I didn't bother with the Caribou kit.

Hi FrankQC. A well-modded bike indeed - enjoy it!
Would you mind posting a link to the source of the rubber-topped rider footpegs - you seem to have omitted that detail from your otherwise very helpful list?
Thank you...

Not the same as FrankQC, but I really enjoy my Yamaha OEM "Adventure Pegs"... not available in North America but easily obtainable from Yamabits: https://yamabits.co.uk/yamaha-mt-09-adventure-foot-pegs.html. Direct fit on the FJ-09.

Thank you to dawnseekr and FrankQC: I have ordered a pair of these FZ9 pegs.   CDN$13.97 = AUD$14.36 - good value.   I've had these beforeon an earlier Tracer, their main benefit to me being that it's easier to move my left foot around when gear-changing, as I have a 'lazy' left ankle and the OE pegs could become a bit interfering.
