Premium Member keithu Posted November 22, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted November 22, 2018 It's hard to believe another year is almost gone. That means it's time to plan our last ride of the year. I suggest a repeat of last year: let's informally meet at the Blue Agate Cafe in Oceanside, Oregon at noon on December 31, 2018. Last year three of us converged in Oceanside and enjoyed beautiful weather. Who's in?
Premium Member joeszup Posted November 22, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted November 22, 2018 As long as it's not pouring rain, and I can get off work, then yes, I'm in!
Premium Member keithu Posted November 23, 2018 Author Premium Member Share Posted November 23, 2018 Two years ago when we tried to do this there was snow in Portland, so I was the only one who made it. Last year it was chilly but dry, so there were three of us.

Premium Member joeszup Posted December 6, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted December 6, 2018 Got someone to cover for me at work, so as long as it's dry, I'll be there.
2linby
I might just try this. Coming up from Eugene. Years ago with the IBA I hosted a ride called "Wet till next year" on New Years Day, Mo's in Florence or Newport. Obviously it was usually wet. I'll try making it sound like a fun day. They were open on New Years Eve the last two years, and their Facebook page doesn't say anything about planned closures. If not... There's another cafe down the street. Or we could just park in the lot across from the Blue Agate and watch the ocean; I can imagine a far worse fate.
Premium Member joeszup Posted December 27, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted December 27, 2018 So far it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. Light showers before 10am then cloudy. I'm looking forward to the ride!
