Michiel900GT
Does anyone here use front fork protection (the kind that goes through the axle)? Does it really prevent damage to the fork in case you drop the bike or slide across hard surfaces? Or is it more of a gimmick by clever accessories selling companies?
Premium Member mikerbiker Posted October 26, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted October 26, 2020 Hey you sold your Tracer, you can only get incorrect answers from now on. 😄 I have them on mine, called "fork sliders" in US. Cheap insurance I think...
Stew
Get a couple of skateboard wheels and some threaded bar, easy peasy and dirt cheap, just won't have a fancy blingy name
BBB
Sometimes called spindle bobbins. They are well designed I think and should work well. I have these ones. Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)
Supporting Member roadrash83 Posted October 26, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted October 26, 2020 I have used them on every bike I own that they will work on and they work. Buy a name brand not some Chinese junk, I have seen bikes that had them and they failed. Some times cheap can be expensive. He who dies with the most toys wins.
