congrats on the new bike! sounds like a huge upgrade from the 2015. thinking out loud here, maybe there's a way to swap the newer forks and shock onto the older FJ09s from a crashed bike? similar to how sv650s swap on GSXR suspension?

had two 2015's, both are noisy in neutral. always figured it was just a quirk of the bike

just picked up my 2015 with 9k miles for 6700 and thought I was getting a steal!

If an R9 came out I'd seriously consider selling the FJ09, which would leave me with a garage of a Tenere 700, CBR500R, and R9. Seems like a good mix! But until then I'll be riding my FJ around with a smile on my face

yeah my old FJ09 had a vcyclenut flash during my ownership, so I know the difference between stock fueling and flashed fueling. Went to test ride my current FJ09 and the old owner insisted there was no ECU flash (he was the second owner, so it must have been the first one who did it) despite starting in A mode and being VERY responsive. needless to say I'm happy!

love my 2015, but not surprised that the brand new ones are more refined. 2015 definitely had some kinks to work out (bad suspension, fueling, windshield), but now that i've solved those problems I don't see the need to upgrade. now a new tenere 700 to go with my 2015.. that's another story

2015 that I just bought used, starts in A mode. Can't definitely say but I'm 99% sure it's flashed.

knyte, do you mind clarifying how you got your skidplate on? Mine just arrived and I'm having trouble finding the correct area for step #2 (could be because it was 102 out and i was doing it in the sun LOL). would you mind taking a video or helping me clarify? thanks a lot

Used to have a gray 2015, now I own a red 2015. I prefer the red!

Rode my girlfriends bike (CBR500R) back from Sacramento the other day and the seat is more comfortable than my seat concepts touring seat somehow!

I know you didn't ask about Monitor but, if you can swing it, I greatly enjoyed doing it from east to west (starting at 395 towards Markleeville) over west to east.

ordered mine the same day and it's barely moved one state (Rhode island to Connecticut). still a long way to go to Nevada.

Got up to Monitor Pass last weekend. Beautiful weather and even better riding. My ass is still getting used to riding long distances again (used to have an FJ09 a couple years back but it was totaled) so I wasn't able to make it down to Sonora Pass.

just ordered the SW Motech for my red 2015 as well. figured since I did crash bars may as well have something protecting the bottom as well.

I have a t700 coming in september to partner up with my 2015 FJ09. how do you like it?

just bought a 2015 FJ09 with 9k on the odo last week. planning to ride from carson city over to sonora pass tomorrow or saturday. it's supposed to be 95 degrees so should be interesting!
