  1. The tiny town Square in Chumleigh, Devon, UK the Town lamp and Pump in the middle of the square is a Grade II listed building. Your next challenge is your bike at the site/ plaque/sign of a historic battle.
  2. Purely by chance I was speaking to another rider who came to ask how I was enjoying my 2018 GT900 as his Son was one of the lead designers of the bike. During the conversation he mentioned that his Son was increasingly frustrated about the compromises Yamaha introduced to the design to meet the cost/ price point parameters. The screen was the biggest thing that was compromised (he didnlt know any more detail), interesting nevertheless.
  3. so it ends.....Phantom Blue with the Bluebells. Your next challenge is to photograph your bike next to a town/ village water well or water pump.
  4. @Heli ATP They are the stock colour.
  5. I use both Givi and SW Moech tank bags, but prefer the SW Motech...
  6. @Flooky Welcome, glad to see another Brit on the forum, you'll love the Tracer a great fun bike. Please post pics when you have taken delivery. 👍 Cheers Steve
  7. @flyfifer from memory when I fitted my extender you are correct, just undo the 'ratchet' (I used a small screwdriver).
  8. @2and3cylindersCertainly louder, but not obnoxiously so (it would be if I ever took the baffle out), all stamped up, so road legal here in the UK. The main difference is in the timbre, a lot more 'bass' a lot more 'throaty'. It is wonderful, I can now hear my exhaust and the Tracer sounds less like a sewing machine now, really pleased with it. Just what I was after, louder but not so loud that you'd get fed up with it on a days riding. Here is a 'before' clip so that you can compare...
  9. @Travster Thanks for that.I'll have to start looking out for one (don't seem to be many about, lots of adverts, but 'out of stock'). Cheers Steve
  10. I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on a SP Engineering exhaust for my 2018 GT900 and wondered if any forum members had fitted one? Would be good to get a current owners thouht etc. Cheers Steve
  11. Oh No! Sorry to hear about this, but sooo glad you aren't seriously hurt.
  12. Welcome @Travster, really interested to hear how the heated seat works out as I've been trying to decide whether to get one or not. As I'm a shortarse I'm particularly interested in how much (if any) the new seat raises the seat height.
  13. I have the Puig ones, they keep the back of the hands drier, but only marginally improve the airflow (i.e. keep the wind off fo the back of your hands.)
  14. @Max7, Plenty of advice on screens on the forum, (I myself have 4 now), in the Winter/ bad weather I use the Puig touring screen with vario lip which gives excellent wind protection and eliminates buffeting, but looks AWFUL in my opinion. So in dry/ better/normal weather I went 'short' and use a MRA sports screen which is excellent (unless riding in heavy rain). As many say, your results may differ depending on height/ leg length/ torso length etc. I have a 20 plate gt900 but don't know if the screens I have will fit the model/year of bike you have, but if so and you fancy a day trip to Bedfordshire and want to try out some different screens before you buy then give me a shout. I have the Yamaha Touring Screen, Puig touring screen with vario lip, the MRA sports screen and of course the oem screen. Cheers Steve
  15. @Mark Jackson very difficult to know where to measure from (have sent you another PM), however, in this pic the yellow line measures 20inches the red line measures 24inches. both measured to the top of the uncompressed seat just in front of the rear grab handles. Hope that helps if not see my alternative suggestion in the PM I sent. Cheers Steve
  16. @WaylandC welcome to the forum, I hope you'll be very happy with the Tracer and that you can make your Wife comfortable as a pillion. My Wife decided her touring days were over about 4 years ago so can't help with any two-up touring tips or tricks, but I shall be following your progress with interest as the percieved wisdom I have heard/ read is that the Tracer isn't really a 'two-up' machine. But I've never been one to believe what 'they' say, so it'll be great to see how you go. Cheers Steve
  17. @Mark Jackson I've a 20 plate GT900 and can measure if you wish, but what part of the pillion seat do you want me to measure from? Oh, and welcome to the forum, please post pics of the new bike when you can. Cheers Steve
  18. I hear you Max, luckily SWMBO spends on her pastimes too, so completley understands. This leads to some great 'Farckle Trading' along the lines of "... If I get X you could go and buy Y..." Please give me a shout when you're up and running and we could perhaps meet up and compare. (Bikes & Farckles that is, not long suffering wife / partner / significant others) 😂🤣😂 Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome @Max7 great to have another Brit on the forum, hope you get the bike farckled soon, enjoy! Cheers Steve
  20. Took her in for her 18k mile services and some new boots, Michellin Pilot Roads.
  21. Welcome, great to see another UK member join, enjoy your new bike, post pics asap
  22. No the Givi will not foul the side cases. I use two diferent Givi top boxes with the oem side cases (A Givi E46 and a Outback Trekker)
  23. @glaschu welcome to the forum, you are sure to enjoy your Tracer, hope you find the forum useful?
