ENGINE CHOKES WITH AGRESSIVE THROTTLE ?
Dodgy Knees replied to AG.BELL's topic in FJ-09 Tech Questions
plugs ?? -
If it suits your riding style and doesn't cause any mechanical concerns, all good. Other's are possibly concerned you could be stressing the motor or clutch. For riding on twisties, I run bike in mid 6/7 ish range so rolling off throttle gives a very controlled braking for next corners. Others also rightly suggest these cp3 motors do enjoy high revs, redline 11k ish. So, what I'm getting at is, maybe the cp3 engine isn't ideally suited to your riding style or intentions. But if you're happy, that's all that matters. It's a cracking do it all bike. π

It does sound like you and your bike have been having some problems. Hope it works out for you.

I like to give mine a good ringing...keep the engine sweet. π

Hope they didn't bruise too much.

I use two types of pillion seat bags, waterproof touring/long trip Rollbags or sunny day easy access bags. Having both is nice. For touring I use Givi or Lomo rollbags and the Held for easy access day trips.

Welcome back Wordy...and I also think they are a cracking bike. Did you try the 700 ? -
I got one like this, fit's perfect on pillion seat and looks good on bike, quick on/off. It does make climbing on the bike a bit harder if the joints ain't what they used to be. Tankbag fit's well. Faulty pump. The filler holes allow for nozzle insertion and full tank guide.

18 litre tank is 4 uk gallons . I've had flashy light come on at say 180 miles, filled up and only got 14/15 litres in. So maybe they will go 240 miles to run out., if they run to empty that is. π€·ββοΈ

For UK folk, M and P are still doing these for Β£95 a pair. I've put about 500 miles on first pair and their Great, been on wet and dry and a trackday with no dramas. Bought 2nd set.π Supermaxx ST2 120/70ZR17 & 180/55ZR17 Tyre Pair | M&P Direct

Yep, remove pillion footrests and a seat cowl should be enough to convince them, no pillions allowed. π
