I'd rather rev the gear out when overtaking and change when in front, just incase I miss a gear on the wrong side. Does depend on the overtake though.

QS are a novelty function on the open road. Completely unnecessary but can be fun under hard acceleration. More useful on track. Imo.

If the dealer isn't moving much on price be cheeky with a smile and ask if they will throw in the first service or maybe a fitted rad gaurd, tail tidy, etc.

The deeper tank ring doesn't look great without bag but you do get used to it. Bit like an ashtray. Not on subject but...how do those 2 bikes compare.?

The tank ring attachment works great with the Givi bags, never had them work loose. 15 litre is a nice useful size for day use. You can also adjust how it sits on tank by moving the fixing forward / backward, very useful.

I've always checked oil with bike on wheels under it's own weight standing up straight after a ride. Many bikes don't have centre stand. Be interesting if the window check is different between the two methods.

That applecross pass is summot else. We had a sunny week mid may 19. Brilliant week. Nice mix of slow and fast roads. Deer can get in the way though.

Hi Mike, do the gaurd extensions cause any wobble when getting on a bit. I was looking at some by powerbronze. There a bit transparent and couldn't decide if I needed them.
